Front Panel

The front panel features a 1-inch silk dome tweeter and a 5.25-inch Kevlar driver for clear and balanced audio reproduction. An IR window is located on the front for remote control operation, along with a volume knob that also functions as an input selector.

The rear panel provides various connectivity options including RCA, AUX, two Optical (TOSLINK) inputs, a Sub Out for connecting a subwoofer, and a USB charge port. It also includes a Phono/Line switch for the RCA input and speaker terminals for connecting the passive speaker.

Setup

Speaker Placement

For optimal sound quality, place the speakers on a stable surface at ear level, ideally forming an equilateral triangle with your listening position. Ensure there is adequate space behind the speakers for proper bass port function and cable connections.

Connecting Speaker Wire

Use the provided speaker wire to connect the active (left) speaker to the passive (right) speaker. Ensure that the positive (+) terminal on one speaker connects to the positive (+) terminal on the other, and similarly for the negative (-) terminals. Twist the exposed wire strands tightly before inserting them into the terminals.

Connecting Audio Sources

  • Bluetooth: Activate Bluetooth on your device and select "Kanto YU6" from the available devices to pair. The speakers feature Qualcomm aptX technology for high-quality wireless streaming.
  • RCA Input: Connect devices such as CD players or preamplifiers using an RCA cable. Use the Phono/Line switch to select the appropriate input level (Phono for turntables with a built-in preamp, Line for other audio sources).
  • Optical (TOSLINK) Inputs: Connect digital audio sources like TVs or game consoles using an optical cable. Two optical inputs are available.
  • AUX Input: Connect portable devices using the 3.5mm auxiliary cable.

Connecting a Subwoofer

For enhanced bass response, connect a powered subwoofer to the Sub Out port on the active speaker using an RCA cable.

Operation

Power On/Off

Use the power switch on the rear panel of the active speaker to turn the unit on or off. The speakers also feature an automatic standby and power-up mode, conserving power when idle and activating when a signal is detected.

Input Selection

Inputs can be selected using the volume knob on the front panel (press to cycle through inputs) or via the included remote control.

Volume and Tone Control

Adjust the volume using the front panel knob or the remote. The remote also provides controls for bass, treble, and balance adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune the sound to your preference.

Bluetooth Pairing

To pair a new Bluetooth device, select the Bluetooth input and initiate pairing from your device. If you encounter issues, use the Bluetooth reset function on the remote control.
