1. Introduction

The Little Live Scruff-A-Luvs Pink Mystery Rescue Pet offers an interactive experience where you rescue an unloved, abandoned pet. Upon arrival, the pet appears as a matted ball of fur. Through a process of washing, drying, brushing, and styling, you will reveal whether your new companion is a puppy, kitten, or bunny. Each Scruff-A-Luv is designed to become your Furry Friend Forever (FFF).

3. Setup and Preparation

Before beginning the rescue process, ensure you have the following items ready:

• A bowl of warm water.
• Child-safe shampoo.
• A towel and/or a hair dryer.

Important: Adult supervision is advised for the entire rescue process.

4. Operating Instructions: The Rescue Process

Step 1: Wash

Gently wash your Scruff-A-Luv with child-friendly shampoo and warm water. You can use a bowl for hand washing or, alternatively, a washing machine at 30°C / 86°F or on a cold setting. Ensure the pet is thoroughly saturated and the matted fur begins to loosen.

Step 2: Rinse

Rinse the pet thoroughly to remove all shampoo and clean the fur. Continue rinsing until the water runs clear. Changing the water regularly is advised.

Step 3: Reveal Your Pet

After washing and rinsing, your Scruff-A-Luv's true form will begin to emerge. You will discover if you have rescued a Puppy, Kitten, or Bunny!

Step 4: Dry

Towel dry your pet thoroughly. For best results and to achieve a fluffy texture, follow with a hair dryer on a warm (not hot) setting. Keep the hair dryer moving and away from the fur to prevent damage. This step must be performed by an adult.

Step 5: Comb

Once dry, use the included brush to comb your pet's fur until it is smooth and fluffy. This helps to fully restore its soft texture.

Step 6: Style

Accessorize your newly rescued pet using the included collar and hair clip. You can also fill out the Adoption Certificate with your pet's name and the date of rescue.

5. Care and Maintenance

To keep your Scruff-A-Luv in optimal condition:

• Regularly brush the fur to maintain its softness and prevent matting.
• Spot clean any small stains with a damp cloth and mild soap.
• For a full wash, follow the 'Wash' and 'Dry' instructions in Section 4.
• Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials when cleaning.

6. Troubleshooting

Fur remains matted after washing:

• Ensure sufficient child-safe shampoo was used during the wash.
• Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
• Repeat the washing and rinsing process if necessary.
• Thoroughly towel dry and use a hair dryer on a warm (not hot) setting while continuously brushing to fluff the fur.

Accessories do not fit:

• Ensure the accessories are correctly oriented and gently applied.
• The collar is adjustable to fit around the pet's neck.
