Vacuum Sealing Bags

Follow these steps for optimal vacuum sealing results:

  1. Prepare the Bag:
    • Use only NutriChef vacuum sealer bags or compatible bags.
    • Ensure the open end of the bag is clean, dry, and free from food particles or moisture.
    • Leave at least 3 inches of space between the food and the open end of the bag to allow for proper vacuuming and sealing.
  2. Place the Bag: Open the lid of the vacuum sealer. Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum channel, ensuring it lies flat and smooth across the sealing bar.
  3. Close and Lock: Close the lid firmly until both sides click into place. You may need to press down on both corners of the lid to ensure it is fully locked. A secure lock is crucial for effective vacuuming.
  4. Select Settings:
    • Press the Food button to select 'Dry' or 'Moist' based on your food type.
    • Press the Mode button to select 'Normal' (for firm foods) or 'Gentle' (for delicate foods).
  5. Start Sealing: Press the Vac Seal button. The machine will automatically vacuum the air from the bag and then seal it. The indicator lights will show the progress.
  6. Release: Once the process is complete, the vacuum will release automatically. Open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

Sealing Only (No Vacuum)

To create a seal without vacuuming (e.g., for snack bags):

  1. Place the open end of the bag across the sealing bar.
  2. Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
  3. Press the Seal button. The machine will create a seal.
  4. Once the sealing light turns off, open the lid and remove the sealed bag.

Using the Air Suction Hose (Canister/Wine Stopper)

The included air suction hose allows you to vacuum seal compatible canisters and use the wine stopper.

  1. Connect Hose: Insert one end of the air suction hose into the accessory port on the vacuum sealer.
  2. Connect to Accessory:
    • For canisters: Connect the other end of the hose to the port on your vacuum-sealable canister.
    • For wine stopper: Insert the wine stopper into the wine bottle, then connect the hose to the port on the wine stopper.
  3. Start Vacuum: Press the Vac Seal button. The machine will begin to vacuum air from the canister or bottle.
  4. Complete: The vacuum process will stop automatically once the desired vacuum level is reached. Disconnect the hose.
