7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your BN-LINK Wireless Remote Control Electrical Outlet Switch, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Appliance Not Responding:
    • Ensure the appliance is properly plugged into the wireless outlet and is switched ON if it has its own power switch.
    • Verify the wireless outlet is securely plugged into the wall socket.
    • Check if the remote control battery is depleted. Replace with a new 12V A23 battery if necessary.
    • Re-pair the remote control with the outlet using the 'Custom Pairing' steps in Section 5.2.
  • Remote Control Signal Issues:
    • Ensure you are within the 100-foot operating range.
    • Minimize obstructions between the remote and the outlet, although the signal is designed to pass through walls.
    • Cold Battery Performance: In cold environments, remote control batteries may temporarily lose efficiency. Warm the battery by holding it in your hand or placing it in a warm area for a few minutes to restore function.
  • Power Outage Behavior: After a power outage, the outlets are designed to remain OFF to prevent unexpected activation of connected appliances. You will need to manually turn them ON using the remote or the button on the outlet.
