3.2 Twist Focusing Optic

The headlamp's Twist Focusing Optic allows for quick adjustment between two distinct beam types:

  • Ultra View Flood Beam: Provides a broad, even circle of light, ideal for illuminating a large area up close.
  • Bulls-Eye Spot Beam: Concentrates the light into a bright spot with a transitional halo, suitable for long-distance viewing.

To adjust the beam, simply twist the bezel around the lens of the headlamp.

4. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Coast FL75R headlamp, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the headlamp body and lens with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: If using alkaline batteries, remove them if the headlamp will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. For the rechargeable Li-Ion pack, store it with a partial charge and recharge periodically if not in use.
  • Storage: Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Water Resistance: The headlamp is weather-resistant, but it is not designed for submersion. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

5. Troubleshooting

If your Coast FL75R headlamp is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • No Light: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and charged. If using alkaline batteries, ensure they are fresh. If using the rechargeable pack, confirm it is fully charged.
  • Dim Light: This often indicates low battery power. Recharge the Li-Ion pack or replace alkaline batteries.
  • Inconsistent Operation: Ensure all connections are secure and the battery compartment is properly closed.

For persistent issues, refer to the warranty information or contact Coast customer support.
