5. Operating Instructions
The Seaflo Series 33 pump is designed for automatic, on-demand operation.
- Initial Priming: Once installed and connected, open a faucet in your system to allow air to escape. Turn on the power to the pump. The pump will begin to run and self-prime. It may take a few moments for water to flow steadily and for all air to be purged from the lines.
- Automatic Operation: The built-in pressure switch will detect when water is demanded (e.g., by opening a faucet) and automatically start the pump. When the faucet is closed and the system pressure reaches the cut-off setting (45 PSI), the pump will automatically shut off.
- Adjusting Pressure Switch: The pressure switch is factory set. If adjustment is needed, consult a qualified technician. The adjustment screw is typically located under the top end cap.
- Dry Running: The pump is capable of running dry without damage, but prolonged dry running should be avoided to conserve power and prevent unnecessary wear.
Important: Ensure your water tank always has sufficient water to prevent the pump from running dry for extended periods.
