Setup and Installation
Tools Required:
- Jigsaw or appropriate cutting tool for countertop
- Drill with appropriate bits
- Screwdriver set
- Adjustable wrench or pliers
- Sealant (silicone) and caulk gun
- Measuring tape and pencil
- Safety glasses and gloves
Pre-Installation Checks:
- Verify that the countertop opening matches the sink's dimensions. Refer to the dimension diagram for precise measurements.
- Ensure adequate space under the sink for plumbing connections and drain assembly.
- Confirm that the water supply lines are accessible and can be turned off.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Countertop: If not already cut, use the provided template (if available, otherwise measure carefully) to mark and cut the opening in your countertop. Ensure the edges are smooth and clean.
- Install Faucet and Accessories: Before placing the sink into the countertop, install the faucet, soap dispenser, and any other accessories into their designated holes on the sink. Tighten them securely according to their individual instructions.
- Install Drain Assemblies: Attach the drain assemblies to both sink bowls. Apply plumber's putty or sealant around the drain opening on the underside of the sink flange before inserting the drain into the sink hole. Secure with the rubber gasket and locking nut from below.
- Install Overflow: Connect the overflow pipe to the overflow opening in the sink bowl and to the main drain pipe assembly. Ensure all connections are tight and sealed.
- Apply Sealant: Apply a bead of silicone sealant around the perimeter of the sink opening on the underside of the sink rim. This will create a watertight seal between the sink and the countertop.
- Position the Sink: Carefully lower the sink into the countertop opening. Ensure it is properly aligned. Press down firmly to engage the sealant.
- Secure the Sink: From underneath the countertop, attach and tighten the mounting clips (if included) to secure the sink firmly in place. Do not overtighten.
- Connect Plumbing: Connect the P-trap and waste pipes to the drain assemblies. Connect the faucet supply lines to the hot and cold water valves. Ensure all connections are hand-tightened, then use a wrench for a final snug turn, being careful not to overtighten plastic fittings.
- Test for Leaks: Turn on the water supply and run water into the sink. Fill both bowls and check all plumbing connections for any leaks. Address any leaks immediately by tightening connections or reapplying sealant if necessary.

Operating Instructions
The Respekta Mineralite sink operates like any standard kitchen sink. Water flow is controlled by your installed faucet. The two bowls allow for versatile use, such as washing dishes in one and rinsing in the other, or preparing food.
- Water Flow: Use your faucet handles to control the temperature and flow of water into the sink bowls.
- Drainage: The grid drain type allows water to flow freely while catching larger debris. Periodically remove the grid to clean out any accumulated food particles.
- Overflow: The integrated overflow opening prevents the sink from overflowing if the main drain is blocked, provided the water flow is not excessive.

Maintenance and Care
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your Respekta Mineralite sink. The material is designed for easy cleaning and resistance to various elements.
- Daily Cleaning: For routine cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with mild dish soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning.
- Stain Removal: For tougher stains, a non-abrasive liquid cleaner specifically designed for kitchen surfaces or composite sinks can be used. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, scouring pads, or strong chemical agents (e.g., oven cleaners, paint removers, concentrated bleach) as these can damage the surface.
- Heat Resistance: While the sink is temperature-resistant up to 180°C, it is advisable to avoid placing extremely hot pots or pans directly onto the surface without a trivet, especially for prolonged periods, to prevent potential thermal shock or discoloration over time.
- Impact Resistance: The sink has high impact resistance, but dropping heavy or sharp objects can still cause damage.
- UV Resistance: The UV-resistant properties help maintain the sink's color over time, even with exposure to sunlight.
- Drain Cleaning: Regularly clean the drain and overflow areas to prevent blockages and maintain hygiene.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Water Leaks | Loose plumbing connections, improperly sealed drain, damaged seals. | Check and tighten all plumbing connections. Reapply plumber's putty or silicone sealant around drains if necessary. Replace damaged seals. |
| Slow Drainage | Drain blockage (food particles, grease), P-trap obstruction. | Remove and clean the drain grid. Clear any visible blockages. If necessary, disassemble and clean the P-trap. Avoid pouring grease down the drain. |
| Surface Stains | Food dyes, hard water deposits, prolonged contact with staining agents. | Clean immediately with mild soap and water. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive composite sink cleaner. For hard water, use a vinegar solution. |
| Fading Color | Excessive exposure to strong chemicals or prolonged direct sunlight (unlikely due to UV resistance, but possible in extreme cases). | Ensure only recommended cleaning agents are used. While UV resistant, extreme direct sunlight over many years might have a minimal effect. |
