Setup

1. Attaching the Strap

The Mares Puck Pro+ comes with a long strap designed to accommodate various exposure suits, including thick wetsuits and dry suits. The strap features multiple adjustment holes and a simple buckle for secure fastening. The strap also incorporates a corrugated section near the computer body, providing elasticity to compensate for wetsuit compression at depth, ensuring a snug fit throughout the dive.

2. Battery Installation

The dive computer uses a user-changeable Lithium Metal battery (CR2450). The battery compartment is located on the back of the unit. Ensure the battery is correctly oriented and the compartment is securely sealed to maintain water integrity.

Warning: Improper battery installation or sealing can lead to water ingress and device failure. Refer to the detailed battery replacement instructions in the Maintenance section.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Display Information (Dive Mode)

In its standard dive mode, the display provides essential information:

2. Activating Backlight

To activate the backlight for low-light conditions, press and hold the single control button for approximately two seconds. The backlight will illuminate the display for improved visibility.

  2. Press and hold the button for two seconds to enter the logbook.
  3. Within the logbook, short press the button to cycle through recorded dives and their details, such as maximum depth, dive time, and other relevant data.

7. Power Saving Mode

If the dive computer is left out of water and inactive for a certain period, the display will automatically turn off to conserve battery life. This feature is particularly useful when the device is in storage.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

The Mares Puck Pro+ is designed for user-changeable batteries. When the battery indicator shows low power, replace the battery promptly. Use only the specified Lithium Metal battery (CR2450). Ensure the O-ring is clean and properly seated, and the battery cover is securely tightened to maintain the device's water resistance.

2. Cleaning and Storage

After each dive, rinse the dive computer thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and other debris. Allow it to air dry completely before storing. Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

3. Firmware Updates

Periodically check the Mares website for firmware updates. Upgrading the firmware ensures your dive computer has the latest features and algorithms. Firmware updates can typically be performed via the BLUELINK system.

Troubleshooting

1. Display Not Turning On

2. Device Not Entering Dive Mode

3. Inaccurate Readings
