3. Setup
3.1 Battery Charging
Before first use, fully charge the two included Lithium Ion batteries using the RAPID BATTERY CHARGER. The collector display box also requires charging via the provided USB charging cord to activate its light and sound features.
3.2 Controller Setup
Insert 4 AA 1.5v Alkaline Batteries (not included) into the Empire Black Hobby Grade Controller. Ensure correct polarity. The controller lights up, vibrates, and plays music to enhance the battle experience.
3.3 Propeller Installation
Attach the propellers to the quadcopter using the included tool. Refer to the markings on the propellers (A or B) and the corresponding motor arms to ensure correct placement. Incorrect propeller placement will prevent the drone from flying correctly.
3.4 App Installation
Download the free Propel Star Wars Battle Quads application from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. This application provides tutorials, training missions, and free training modes to help you learn how to fly safely and engage in combat.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Flight Controls and Speed Settings
The quadcopter features three speed settings, allowing pilots to choose a level suitable for their skill, from beginner to advanced. The Tie Advanced X1 can achieve speeds of approximately 35 mph (56 kph). Familiarize yourself with the controller's throttle, yaw, and directional controls.
4.2 App-Assisted Training
Utilize the companion iOS and Android application for guided flight training. The app includes a "Real Physics" flight simulator to teach you how to fly the drone effectively before actual flight. Engage in various training missions to hone your piloting skills.
4.3 Multiplayer Battle System
The Tie Advanced X1 Quadcopter supports laser battles with other Propel Star Wars drones. The Intelligent Awareness Technology (I.A.T.) and Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) communication system enable real-time, multi-layered communication between up to 12 players. Hidden diodes on the drone receive data transmissions during battles.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your quadcopter.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the drone and controller with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or liquids.
- Propeller Inspection: Periodically check propellers for damage (cracks, bends). Replace damaged propellers with spare blades to maintain flight stability.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not overcharge or fully discharge batteries.
- Storage: When not in use, store the quadcopter and its components in the collector's display box or a safe, dry environment.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your quadcopter, refer to the following common solutions:
- Drone not powering on: Ensure the drone battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. Check the power switch.
- Controller not connecting: Verify that the controller has fresh batteries and is powered on. Ensure the drone and controller are within range and attempt to re-pair them according to the quick start guide.
- Unstable flight/drifting: Check for damaged propellers and replace if necessary. Perform a flight calibration as instructed in the quick start guide or app. Ensure no hair or debris is caught in the propellers.
- Display box not lighting up/playing sound: Ensure the display box is charged via its USB cord.
