3. Hardware Features
3.1 Front Panel Indicators

4. Setup Guide
Follow these steps for initial router setup:
- Connect Antennas: Screw the three detachable antennas onto the connectors on the rear of the router.
- Power Cycle Modem: If your modem was previously connected to another router, unplug its power cable, wait for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for 2-3 minutes until the modem's internet indicator light is stable.
- Connect Modem to Router: Connect one end of the provided Ethernet cable to your modem's LAN port and the other end to the blue WAN port on your ASUS router.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC-IN port on the router and then into a power outlet. Press the Power button to turn on the router.
- Connect a Device: For initial configuration, connect a computer to one of the yellow LAN ports on the router using an Ethernet cable, or connect wirelessly to the default Wi-Fi network (SSID and password usually found on a sticker on the router).
- Access Router Interface: Open a web browser on your connected device and navigate to the router's default IP address (e.g.,
router.asus.comor192.168.1.1). Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup wizard, including setting up your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. - Use ASUS Router App: Alternatively, download the ASUS Router App from your mobile device's app store. 5.1 Connecting Devices
- Wired Connection: Connect devices to the yellow LAN ports using Ethernet cables.
- Wireless Connection: Search for your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) on your device and enter the password you set during setup. The router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
- WPS Connection: Press the WPS button on the router and then activate WPS on your compatible device within two minutes to establish a secure wireless connection without entering a password.

- Power cycle your modem and router (unplug both, wait 60 seconds, plug modem back in, wait 2-3 minutes, then plug router back in).
- Verify your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connection is active.
- Slow Wi-Fi Speed:
- Ensure your devices are connected to the appropriate Wi-Fi band (5GHz for faster speeds at shorter distances, 2.4GHz for better range).
- Relocate the router to a more central position or away from potential interference.
- Check for firmware updates.
- Reduce the number of active devices or bandwidth-intensive applications.
- Cannot Access Router Interface:
- Ensure your device is connected to the router (wired or wireless).
- Try using a different web browser.
- If you forgot your login credentials, perform a factory reset using the Reset button on the rear panel.
