Setup

Battery Installation:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert one 9V battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  5. The device is now ready for use.

Note: A 9V battery is included with the product.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to accurately measure moisture content:

  1. Step 1: Remove Protection Cap and Power On
    Carefully remove the protective cap from the measurement pins. Press the "POWER" button to turn on the device.
  2. Step 2: Select Wood Group
    Press the "MODE" button to cycle through the available wood groups (A, B, C, D) until the appropriate group for your material is selected. Refer to the "Wood Group Selection" section for details.
  3. Step 3: Take Measurement
    Gently push the measurement pins into the material (wood, paper, cardboard) to be tested. Ensure the pins penetrate sufficiently for a stable contact. The moisture reading will be displayed on the LCD screen.
  4. Step 4: Hold Reading (Optional)
    Once the reading stabilizes, press the "HOLD" button to freeze the displayed value. This allows you to record the measurement after removing the pins from the material. Press "HOLD" again to release the reading.
  5. Step 5: Power Off
    Press the "POWER" button to turn off the device. The meter also features an automatic power-off function after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Wood Group Selection

The meter has four pre-programmed wood groups (A, B, C, D) to provide accurate readings for approximately 50 different wood species. Select the group that best matches the material you are testing.
