  • 1. Display: Shows current mode, station information, time, etc.
  • 2. SNOOZE/SLEEP Button: Activates snooze during alarm, sets sleep timer.
  • 3. SOURCE Button: Selects input source (Internet Radio, FM, DAB+, CD, Bluetooth, AUX).
  • 4. TUNING / PREV / NEXT Knobs: Used for tuning radio frequencies, navigating menus, and skipping tracks.

  • 1. DC IN (12V 2A): Power input for the AC adapter.
  • 2. AUX IN: 3.5mm stereo input for connecting external audio devices.
  • 3. Telescopic Antenna: For FM and DAB+ radio reception. Extend fully for best reception.

Remote Control

The remote control allows for convenient operation of the radio from a distance. It requires 2x AAA batteries (not included).

  • Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
  • Mute Button: Mutes or unmutes the audio.
  • Volume +/-: Adjusts the volume level.
  • Navigation Buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right/OK): For menu navigation and selection.
  • Source Button: Cycles through input sources.
  • Play/Pause, Stop, Skip: CD and Bluetooth playback controls.
  • Preset Buttons: For saving and recalling favorite stations.

Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the radio and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future transport or storage.

2. Power Connection

  1. Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC IN (12V 2A) port on the rear of the radio.
  2. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a suitable wall outlet.
  3. The radio will enter standby mode.

3. Antenna Connection

For optimal FM and DAB+ radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the rear of the unit.

4. Initial Setup (First Use)

When you power on the radio for the first time, it will guide you through an initial setup wizard:

  1. Press the STANDBY / VOLUME knob to turn on the radio.
  2. Language Selection: Use the TUNING knob to select your preferred language and press OK (by pressing the knob) to confirm.
  3. Network Connection: The radio will prompt you to connect to a Wi-Fi network for Internet Radio functionality.
    • Select "Scan Network" to find available Wi-Fi networks.
    • Choose your network from the list.
    • Enter the Wi-Fi password using the TUNING knob to navigate characters and OK to select.
    • Once connected, the radio will confirm the connection.
  4. Time and Date: The radio will attempt to synchronize time and date via the internet. You can also set it manually if preferred.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • To turn on the radio from standby, press the STANDBY / VOLUME knob.
  • To put the radio into standby mode, press the STANDBY / VOLUME knob again.

Source Selection

Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through the available input modes:

  • Internet Radio
  • DAB+ Radio
  • FM Radio
  • CD Player
  • Bluetooth
  • AUX In

Internet Radio

Requires an active internet connection.

  1. Select "Internet Radio" as the source.
  2. Navigate through categories (e.g., "Local Stations", "Genre", "Search") using the TUNING knob and press OK to select.
  3. Select your desired station.
  4. To save a station as a preset, press and hold the OK button or a dedicated preset button on the remote.

DAB+ Radio

Ensure the telescopic antenna is fully extended.

  1. Select "DAB+ Radio" as the source.
  2. The radio will automatically scan for available DAB+ stations on first use. You can also initiate a scan by pressing the AUTO SCAN button.
  3. Use the TUNING knob to browse the list of found stations and press OK to select.

FM Radio

Ensure the telescopic antenna is fully extended.

  1. Select "FM Radio" as the source.
  2. Auto Scan: Press the AUTO SCAN button to automatically scan and save available FM stations.
  3. Manual Tuning: Use the TUNING knob to manually adjust the frequency.
  4. To save a station as a preset, press and hold the OK button or a dedicated preset button on the remote.

CD Playback

  1. Select "CD Player" as the source.
  2. Gently insert an audio CD into the CD slot with the label side facing up. The radio will automatically load the CD.
  3. Playback will begin automatically. Use the TUNING knobs (PREV/NEXT) or remote control for track navigation (play, pause, skip).
  4. Press the EJECT button to remove the CD.

Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Select "Bluetooth" as the source. The radio will enter pairing mode and display "Pairing".
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Auna Melodie" (or similar name) from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the radio will confirm the connection, and you can stream audio from your device.

AUX Input

  1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX IN port on the rear of the radio using a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied).
  2. Select "AUX In" as the source.
  3. Audio from the connected device will now play through the radio's speakers. Control playback from your external device.

Alarm and Sleep Timer

  • Alarm: Press the ALARM button to set up alarms. You can configure alarm time, source (buzzer, radio), and frequency (daily, once, weekends, weekdays).
  • Sleep Timer: Press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button repeatedly to set a sleep timer (e.g., 15, 30, 60 minutes). The radio will automatically turn off after the set time.
  • Snooze: When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button to temporarily silence it for a few minutes.

System Settings

Access the main menu to configure various system settings:

  • Network: Manage Wi-Fi connections, view network information.
  • Time/Date: Set time format, manual time, auto-update.
  • Language: Change the display language.
  • Software Update: Check for and install firmware updates.
  • Factory Reset: Resets all settings to their default values. (Use with caution, as all saved settings and presets will be lost.)

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Always unplug the radio from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
  • For the CD slot, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc if necessary.

Storage

If you plan to store the radio for an extended period:

  • Unplug the power adapter.
  • Remove batteries from the remote control.
  • Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • It is recommended to use the original packaging for storage to protect the unit.
