Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the extension lead from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or disposal.
- Placement: Position the extension lead on a dry, flat, and stable surface, away from direct heat sources, water, or flammable materials. Ensure the cable is not a tripping hazard.
- Connection: Plug the extension lead's main plug into a suitable wall socket. Ensure the wall socket is easily accessible and in good condition.
Operating Instructions
- Powering On: Once the extension lead is plugged into a live wall socket, the neon indicators on each socket will illuminate, indicating that power is available.
- Connecting Devices: Insert the plugs of your electrical appliances into the available sockets on the extension lead.
- Load Management: The total power consumption of all connected devices must not exceed 13 Amps (approximately 3120 Watts at 240V). Refer to your appliance's power ratings to ensure you do not overload the extension lead.
- Disconnecting Devices: To disconnect an appliance, switch it off first, then carefully pull the plug directly from the socket. Do not pull by the cable.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the extension lead from the wall socket before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse in water.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the cable, plug, and sockets for any signs of damage, fraying, cracks, or discoloration. If any damage is observed, discontinue use immediately and replace the unit.
- Storage: When not in use, store the extension lead in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid tightly coiling the cable.
