Product Overview

PRO-ELEC 4-Gang Extension Lead with UK plug

Figure 1: The PRO-ELEC 4-Gang Extension lead, featuring four UK-style sockets and a standard UK 3-pin plug. Each socket includes a neon indicator light to show power status. The unit is black and designed for domestic or light commercial use.

The PRO-ELEC 4-Gang Extension provides four additional power outlets from a single wall socket. It is equipped with individual neon indicators for each socket, signifying when power is active. The unit conforms to BS 1363/A standards, ensuring safety and compatibility with UK electrical systems.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the extension lead from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or disposal.
  2. Placement: Position the extension lead on a dry, flat, and stable surface, away from direct heat sources, water, or flammable materials. Ensure the cable is not a tripping hazard.
  3. Connection: Plug the extension lead's main plug into a suitable wall socket. Ensure the wall socket is easily accessible and in good condition.

Operating Instructions

  1. Powering On: Once the extension lead is plugged into a live wall socket, the neon indicators on each socket will illuminate, indicating that power is available.
  2. Connecting Devices: Insert the plugs of your electrical appliances into the available sockets on the extension lead.
  3. Load Management: The total power consumption of all connected devices must not exceed 13 Amps (approximately 3120 Watts at 240V). Refer to your appliance's power ratings to ensure you do not overload the extension lead.
  4. Disconnecting Devices: To disconnect an appliance, switch it off first, then carefully pull the plug directly from the socket. Do not pull by the cable.
