Introduction

The Joy 61-Key Standard Music Keyboard Kit is designed to provide a rich and authentic piano-like sound experience for musicians of all levels. This comprehensive kit includes the 61-key simulation piano keys keyboard, a music stand, headphones, a keyboard stand, a music stool, and a DC 12V power adapter. Featuring a high-tech LED display and various functions such as 128 timbres, 128 rhythms, 8 percussions, and 12 demonstration songs, this keyboard offers extensive creative possibilities. It also includes an MP3 player function via USB flash disk, and connectivity for microphone, phone, and audio input/output. Safety Information

• Always use the provided DC 12V, 500mA AC adapter. Using an incorrect adapter may damage the unit or pose a safety risk.

Setup

1. Keyboard Stand Assembly

Assemble the keyboard stand by connecting the horizontal bars to the vertical supports. Ensure all screws are tightened securely for stability.

2. Music Stool Assembly

Unfold the music stool and ensure the locking mechanism is engaged for a stable seating position. The stool is designed for comfort and stability during play.

3. Keyboard Placement

Carefully place the 61-key keyboard onto the assembled keyboard stand. Ensure it is centered and stable.

4. Power Connection

Connect the DC 12V, 500mA AC adapter to the power input jack on the back of the keyboard. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.

5. Headphone Connection

For private practice, plug the included headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the keyboard. This will mute the internal speakers.

6. Music Stand Attachment

Insert the music stand into the designated slots on the top of the keyboard. This stand is used to hold sheet music or a tablet.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Locate the Power button on the control panel. Press it once to turn the keyboard on, and press it again to turn it off.

2. Volume Control

Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons to adjust the overall output volume of the keyboard.

3. Selecting Timbres (Sounds)

The keyboard features 128 different timbres. Use the "Timbre" selection buttons or number pad to choose your desired instrument sound.

4. Selecting Rhythms

Choose from 128 built-in rhythms using the "Rhythm" selection buttons or number pad. Press "Start/Stop" to begin or end the rhythm.

5. Percussion Functions

Access 8 different percussion sounds. These can often be triggered by specific keys or dedicated percussion pads on the control panel.

6. Demonstration Songs

The keyboard includes 12 demonstration songs. Press the "Demo Song" button to cycle through them. These are useful for learning and enjoyment.

7. Recording & Playback

To record your performance, press the "Record" button. Play your desired melody. Press "Play" to listen to your recorded track. Consult the specific button labels on your keyboard for exact operation.

8. Sustain/Vibrato Functions

Activate the "Sustain" function to prolong the sound of notes after the key is released. Use the "Vibrato" function to add a slight pitch modulation to the notes, creating a wavering effect.

9. Chord Functions

• Single Finger Chord: Play a full chord by pressing a single key in the lower range of the keyboard.
• Fingered Chord: Play chords by pressing the correct combination of keys.
• Chord Timbre: Adjust the sound quality of the chords.

10. Rhythm Programming Function

This feature allows you to create and store custom rhythm patterns. Refer to the specific instructions on your keyboard's control panel for detailed steps.

11. USB Music Player Function

Insert a USB flash disk into the USB jack to play MP3 music files directly through the keyboard's speakers. Use the dedicated controls for playback (play/pause, next/previous track).

12. Connecting to Apps

The keyboard can connect to mobile keyboard training applications such as 'Simply Piano' and 'PianoMaestro'. Connect your phone or tablet to the keyboard via a suitable audio cable (not included) to utilize the app's training functions. The keyboard's sound output will be recognized by the app.

13. External Connections

• Microphone Jack: Connect an external microphone for vocal accompaniment.
• Phone/Output Jack: Connect to external audio devices like amplifiers or mixers.
• Audio Input Jack: Connect external audio sources (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to play through the keyboard's speakers.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the keyboard and accessories with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
