Operating

The Singer 3337 offers 29 stitch patterns. Turn the stitch selector dial to choose your desired stitch. Refer to the stitch chart on the machine for visual guidance.

2. Stitch Length and Width Adjustment

Adjust the stitch length using the dedicated dial to control the spacing of stitches. For certain stitches, the stitch width can also be adjusted to modify the zigzag or decorative stitch appearance.

3. Sewing

  1. Place the fabric under the presser foot.
  2. Lower the presser foot lever.
  3. Gently press the foot pedal to start sewing. The harder you press, the faster the machine will sew.
  4. Guide the fabric gently with your hands, but do not push or pull it.

4. Reverse Sewing

To reinforce stitches at the beginning and end of a seam, press and hold the reverse lever/button. The machine will sew backward. Release the lever/button to resume forward sewing.

5. Free Arm Sewing

Remove the accessory storage compartment to reveal the free arm. This feature is useful for sewing cylindrical items like sleeves, pant hems, and cuffs.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your sewing machine.

1. Cleaning the Bobbin Area

Lint and thread residue can accumulate in the bobbin area, affecting stitch quality. Regularly remove the needle plate and bobbin case to clean out any debris using the small brush provided or a soft brush.

2. Needle Replacement

Replace your needle regularly, especially after 8-10 hours of sewing or if it becomes bent or dull. A dull needle can cause skipped stitches or damage fabric.

3. General Cleaning

Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
