1. Introduction

The Coast Polysteel 600R is a robust and versatile rechargeable LED flashlight designed for durability and high performance. It features a unique Dual Power system, allowing it to operate with either its custom rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack or standard AA alkaline batteries. The rechargeable battery pack also includes a USB charging port for external devices. Built with a stainless steel core and a protective poly outer, this flashlight is engineered to be drop-proof, crush-proof, and waterproof, making it suitable for demanding environments. Its Pure Beam Optics System with twist focus provides adaptable lighting for various situations.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all items listed below are included in your package:

• 1 x Coast Polysteel 600R Flashlight
• 1 x Custom Li-Ion Battery Pack
• 1 x 4x AA Battery Cartridge (AA batteries included)

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The Polysteel 600R features a Dual Power system, allowing you to use either the included rechargeable Li-ion battery pack or the 4x AA alkaline battery cartridge.

1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight by turning it counter-clockwise.
2. For Li-ion Battery Pack: Insert the rechargeable Li-ion battery pack into the flashlight with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight.
3. For AA Battery Cartridge: Ensure 4 AA batteries are correctly inserted into the battery cartridge according to the polarity markings. Insert the cartridge into the flashlight.
4. Screw the tail cap back on clockwise until it is securely tightened.

4.2 Charging the Li-ion Battery Pack

To charge the custom Li-ion battery pack:

1. Remove the Li-ion battery pack from the flashlight.
2. Connect the included USB charging cable to the micro-USB port on the battery pack.
3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the AC adapter, DC adapter, or any standard USB power source.
4. The indicator light on the battery pack will show charging status (refer to battery pack instructions for specific light indications).
5. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and reinsert the battery pack into the flashlight.

4.3 USB Power Out Feature

The rechargeable Li-ion battery pack can also be used to charge other USB-powered devices.

1. Locate the USB-A output port on the rechargeable battery pack.
2. Connect your device's charging cable to this port.
3. The battery pack will begin charging your device.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

The Polysteel 600R features a Quick-Cycle Power Switch located on the tail cap to control the flashlight's functions.

• To Turn On/Off: Press the tail switch completely until it clicks.
• To Cycle Modes: With the flashlight on, lightly press the tail switch (without clicking) to cycle through available light modes (e.g., High, Medium, Low). A full click will turn the flashlight off.

5.2 Pure Beam Optics with Twist Focus

The flashlight's head features a twist focus mechanism to adjust the beam from a wide flood to a narrow spot.

• To Adjust Beam: Rotate the head of the flashlight clockwise or counter-clockwise to transition between the Bulls-Eye Spot Beam and the Ultra View Flood Beam.
• Bulls-Eye Spot Beam: Provides a concentrated beam for long-distance illumination.
• Ultra View Flood Beam: Offers a wide, even circle of light for close-range illumination.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, keep the flashlight clean. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Clean the lens gently with a lens cloth to avoid scratches.

6.2 Battery Care

• If using AA alkaline batteries, remove them if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• For the Li-ion battery pack, store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge it periodically if not in use to maintain battery health.
