Setup Instructions

  1. Battery Installation: Ensure the rechargeable battery is properly inserted into the battery compartment of the LCSU 4 unit. Charge the battery fully before first use using the provided AC/DC adapter.
  2. Canister Assembly: Place the 800 mL disposable canister into the wire stand. Ensure the canister lid is securely fastened.
  3. Tubing Connection:
    • Connect one end of the vacuum tube to the vacuum port on the LCSU 4 unit.
    • Connect the other end of the vacuum tube to the "VACUUM" port on the canister lid.
    • Connect the patient tube to the "PATIENT" port on the canister lid.
  4. Power Connection: For continuous operation or charging, connect the AC/DC adapter to the unit's power input and then to a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating the LCSU 4

  1. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the unit. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Vacuum Adjustment: Use the vacuum regulator knob to set the desired vacuum level. The vacuum gauge will display the current suction pressure.
  3. Patient Connection: Attach the appropriate suction catheter (not included) to the free end of the patient tube.
  4. Suction Procedure: Follow standard medical protocols for suctioning. Ensure the catheter is properly inserted before applying suction.
  5. Power Off: After use, press the power button to turn off the unit.
