Setup
Proper setup is crucial for optimal performance and safety. Follow these general steps for installation and wiring:
- Mounting: Securely mount the Rover controller in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Ensure at least 6 inches (150mm) of clearance above and below for proper airflow.
- Battery Connection: Connect the battery cables to the controller first. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative).
- Solar Panel Connection: Connect the solar panel cables to the controller. Ensure correct polarity.
- Load Connection: Connect your DC loads (e.g., lights, fans) to the load terminals.
- Temperature Sensor: Connect the included remote temperature sensor to the designated port on the controller and place the sensor near the battery for accurate temperature compensation.
