Accu-Chek FastClix Lancets User Manual

Model: 351-2795

Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of Accu-Chek FastClix Lancets. These lancets are designed exclusively for use with the Accu-Chek FastClix lancing device to facilitate blood glucose testing. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product.

Product Overview

Accu-Chek FastClix Lancets packaging showing 204 lancets, Clixmotion technology, and compatibility information.

This image displays the retail packaging for Accu-Chek FastClix Lancets. The box clearly indicates 'ACCU-CHEK FastClix 204 Lancets' and highlights features such as 'CLIX MOTION', '6 Lancets in a drum', 'Virtually pain free', 'No lancet handling', and 'For single use only'. It also states compatibility for 'all models of Accu-Chek FastClix' and includes the Roche logo.

Accu-Chek FastClix Lancets are sterile, single-use lancets featuring a unique drum system. Each drum contains 6 preloaded lancets, eliminating the need for individual lancet handling. The 30-gauge needles, combined with Clixmotion technology, are designed for gentle and virtually pain-free blood sampling.

Setup and Preparation

Follow these steps to prepare your Accu-Chek FastClix lancing device with a new lancet drum:

  1. Remove the Cap: Hold the lancing device firmly and pull off the cap.
  2. Insert Lancet Drum: Insert a new lancet drum, white end first, into the lancing device. Push it in until it clicks into place. Do not force it.
  3. Replace the Cap: Place the cap back onto the lancing device until it clicks securely.
  4. Set Penetration Depth: Rotate the cap to select your desired penetration depth. Start with a shallower depth (e.g., 2 or 3) and adjust as needed for sufficient blood sample.

Note: The lancet drum is designed to be used only once. Once inserted, it cannot be removed and reused. The device automatically advances to a new lancet after each use.

Operating Instructions

To obtain a blood sample using the Accu-Chek FastClix lancing device with FastClix Lancets:

  1. Prime the Device: Press the priming button (usually located on the side or end of the device) until it clicks. This action primes the device and advances a new lancet.
  2. Position on Skin: Place the lancing device firmly against the side of your fingertip.
  3. Lance: Press the release button to lance your finger.
  4. Obtain Blood Sample: Gently squeeze your finger to form a drop of blood. Avoid excessive squeezing, which can dilute the sample.
  5. Test Blood Glucose: Apply the blood drop to your blood glucose meter's test strip as instructed by your meter's manual.
