4. Setup

4.1. Unpacking and Physical Setup

  1. Remove the scanner and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Place the scanner on a stable, flat surface.
  3. Open the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) cover by sliding the release lever and lifting the top section. Extend the paper support trays.

4.2. Power and Connectivity

The DS-320 can be powered in two ways:

  • AC Power: For optimal performance and fastest scan speeds, connect the included AC adapter to the scanner's power port and then to a wall outlet.
  • USB Power: The scanner can also be powered directly via a USB 3.0 connection to your computer. Note that scanning speeds may be reduced when using USB power only.
