Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective film. Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Report any damage immediately to the carrier and your dealer.

5. Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a mild soap and warm water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

6. Initial Startup

After cleaning, plug in the unit. Allow the freezer to operate empty for at least 2-4 hours to reach its set temperature before loading with products.

Operating Instructions

1. Temperature Control

The Atosa MGF8405 features an electronic temperature controller. The factory preset temperature range is between -8°F and 0°F (-22°C and -18°C). To adjust the temperature, refer to the specific instructions for the digital controller model, typically involving pressing a 'SET' button and using arrow keys.

  • Self-Closing Door: The door is designed to self-close to maintain internal temperature and energy efficiency.
  • Stay-Open Feature: For convenience during loading or unloading, the door can be opened past a certain angle to remain open.
  • Magnetic Door Gasket: The magnetic gasket ensures a positive seal, preventing cold air from escaping.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficient operation of your freezer. Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

1. Cleaning

  • Interior: Clean the interior regularly with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Exterior: Wipe down the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads or cleaners that can scratch the surface.
  • Condenser Coil: The condenser coil should be cleaned every 30 days or as needed. Dust and debris accumulation can reduce efficiency and increase energy consumption. Use a stiff brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the condenser fins.

3. Gasket Care

Inspect door gaskets regularly for cracks or tears. Clean gaskets with warm water and mild soap. A damaged gasket can lead to poor sealing and increased energy consumption. Replace worn gaskets promptly.
