1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the KOKKO FLP2 Mini SOS Looper Pedal. This compact and versatile guitar effect pedal is designed to provide musicians with an easy-to-use looping solution. It allows for recording, overdubbing, and playback of guitar phrases, enhancing practice sessions and live performances. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper operation and to get the most out of your new looper pedal.

3. Controls and Indicators

  • LOOP LEVEL Knob: Controls the playback volume of the recorded loop.
  • 6.35mm Output: Standard 1/4-inch audio output jack to connect to an amplifier or other effects.
  • LED Indicator: Displays the current status of the looper pedal.
  • 6.35mm Input: Standard 1/4-inch audio input jack for your guitar or other instrument.
  • Foot Switch: Multi-functional switch for recording, playback, overdubbing, undo/redo, and clearing loops.
  • Power In (9V DC/300mA with center negative): Power input jack for connecting an external 9V DC power adapter.

4. Setup

  1. Power Connection: Connect a 9V DC power adapter (center negative, minimum 300mA, not included) to the 'Power In' jack on the pedal. Ensure the power adapter meets these specifications to prevent damage.
  2. Instrument Connection: Connect your guitar or instrument to the '6.35mm Input' jack using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  3. Output Connection: Connect the '6.35mm Output' jack to your amplifier or the input of another effects pedal using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  4. Volume Adjustment: Set the 'LOOP LEVEL' knob to a low position initially and adjust it as needed during operation.

5. Operating Instructions

The KOKKO FLP2 Looper Pedal operates using a single multi-functional footswitch and an LED indicator. The LED changes color to indicate different modes:

  • Green LED: Playback mode.
  • Red LED: Recording or Overdubbing mode.
  • LED Off: True Bypass mode (no loop active).

5.1. Recording a Loop

  1. Ensure the LED is off (True Bypass mode).
  2. Single press the footswitch to start recording. The LED will turn RED.
  3. Play your desired phrase.
  4. Single press the footswitch again to stop recording and start playback. The LED will turn GREEN.

5.2. Overdubbing

  1. While a loop is playing (GREEN LED), single press the footswitch to enter overdub mode. The LED will turn RED.
  2. Play your new phrase over the existing loop.
  3. Single press the footswitch again to stop overdubbing and continue playback with the new layer. The LED will turn GREEN.
  4. You can overdub multiple layers infinitely, up to the maximum loop time of 5 minutes.

5.3. Undo/Redo Last Riff

  • Undo: During playback (GREEN LED), press and hold the footswitch for longer than 1.5 seconds to undo the last recorded riff. The LED will flash GREEN briefly.
  • Redo: After undoing a riff, press and hold the footswitch again for longer than 1.5 seconds to redo the previously undone riff. The LED will flash GREEN briefly.

5.4. Stopping Playback

During playback (GREEN LED), double press the footswitch quickly to stop the loop. The LED will turn GREEN and then turn off, indicating the loop is stopped but still stored in memory.

5.5. Clearing the Loop

  1. To clear the stored loop, ensure the loop is stopped (LED off).
  2. Press and hold the footswitch for longer than 1.5 seconds. The LED will flash RED briefly, indicating the loop has been cleared.
  3. The pedal is now in True Bypass mode, ready to record a new loop.

7. Maintenance

  • Keep the pedal clean and dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure all cable connections are secure before use.
  • When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power adapter.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the 9V DC power adapter is correctly connected and meets the specified requirements (center negative, minimum 300mA). The pedal does not operate on batteries.
  • No Sound: Check all instrument cable connections. Ensure the 'LOOP LEVEL' knob is not set to minimum. Verify your amplifier and instrument are working correctly.
  • Loop Not Recording/Playing: Ensure the pedal is in the correct mode (RED LED for recording, GREEN LED for playback). If the LED is off, single press the footswitch to start recording.
  • Unwanted Noise: Check for faulty cables or interference from other electronic devices. Ensure your power supply is regulated.
