Setup and Installation
The BONTEC Dual Monitor Mount offers two primary installation methods: C-clamp mounting and grommet mounting. Both methods are designed for stability and ease of setup. Please ensure your desk thickness is between 10mm and 100mm for both methods. For grommet mounting, the hole diameter should be between 10mm and 85mm. Important: Do NOT install on desks made of PB, MDF, or GLASS.
1. VESA Plate Attachment
Before mounting the arms to the pole, attach the VESA plates to the back of your monitors. The VESA plates are quick-fit and detachable for easy installation. Use the provided hand screws for convenience, no screwdriver is needed for this step.

2. Choosing a Mounting Method
Select the appropriate mounting method for your desk:
- C-Clamp Mounting: Ideal for desks where drilling a hole is not preferred. The sturdy C-clamp secures the mount to the edge of your desk.
- Grommet Mounting: Requires a pre-drilled hole in your desk. This method provides a flush and stable installation through the desk surface.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BONTEC Dual Monitor Mount, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the mount with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Check Connections: Periodically inspect all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight and secure. Re-tighten if necessary, especially after initial installation and significant adjustments.
- Lubrication: If any joints become stiff over time, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to restore smooth movement.
- Weight Limits: Always adhere to the specified weight limits (10 kg per arm) to prevent damage to the mount or your monitors.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your monitor mount, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Monitors are not level: Ensure the VESA plates are securely attached and the arms are properly aligned on the central pole. Minor adjustments can be made by slightly loosening and re-tightening the arm clamps on the pole.
- Mount feels unstable: Verify that the C-clamp or grommet base is tightened securely to the desk. Check that the desk itself is stable and not made of unsuitable materials (PB, MDF, GLASS).
- Difficulty adjusting arms: Check if any adjustment screws are overtightened. Loosen them slightly to allow for smoother movement. Ensure the weight of your monitors does not exceed the maximum capacity per arm.
- Cables are not staying in clips: Ensure cables are properly routed and not under excessive tension. If clips are loose, they may need to be adjusted or replaced.
