1. Important Safety Instructions
Always observe basic safety precautions when using power tools to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. Read all instructions carefully before operating this tool.
1.1 General Power Tool Safety Warnings
- Work Area Safety: Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use hearing protection when operating the tool for extended periods. Wear a dust mask if operations create dust. Dress properly; do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
1.2 Battery Tool Use and Care
- Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
- When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

3.3 Attaching the Belt Hook and Bit Case
The drill includes a handy belt hook and bit case that can be fixed to either the right or left side of the tool. Use the provided screw to attach these accessories to the designated mounting points on the drill body.
4. Operating
4.1 Power On/Off and Speed Control
- The tool is switched on by pressing the trigger switch. The speed is variable depending on how far the trigger is pressed.
- To switch off, release the trigger switch.
- A slide switch on top of the drill allows selection between two speed ranges: Gear 1 (low speed, high torque: 0-600 RPM) for heavy-duty drilling and driving, and Gear 2 (high speed, lower torque: 0-2100 RPM) for faster drilling and lighter applications.
4.2 Torque Adjustment
The torque setting ring, located behind the chuck, allows you to adjust the clutch to prevent overtightening screws or damaging materials. The adjustable torque range is 6 - 71 in-lbs. For drilling, set the ring to the drill symbol to bypass the clutch for maximum power.
4.3 Drilling Applications
Always ensure the correct drill bit is used for the material and application. Apply steady, even pressure and allow the drill to do the work.
- Drilling in Wood: The maximum capacity in soft wood is 1 1/2 inches. Use wood-specific drill bits.

Figure 5: Demonstrating the drill's use for boring into a wooden beam.
- Drilling in Metal: The maximum capacity in steel is 1/2 inch. Use high-speed steel (HSS) drill bits.

4.4 Integrated Working Light
The drill features an integrated LED working light that illuminates the contact area when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility in dimly lit conditions.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your tool.
- Cleaning: Keep the ventilation slots of the motor housing clean to prevent overheating. Regularly clean the chuck jaws to ensure proper gripping of bits. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning the tool exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Battery Care: Store battery packs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Do not store discharged battery packs. Recharge them before storage.
- Inspection: Periodically check the power cord of the charger for damage. Inspect the chuck for wear or damage.
