Key features include hover capability, forward/backward, side-to-side, up/down movement, and 360-degree flips. The drone operates on a 2.4GHz radio frequency controller and is USB rechargeable.

Setup

1. Charging the Drone Battery

  1. Connect the small end of the included USB charging cable to the charging port on the drone.
  2. Connect the larger end of the USB charging cable to a powered USB port (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
  3. The charging indicator light (if present) will illuminate during charging and turn off or change color when fully charged.
  4. Charging typically takes approximately 30-45 minutes. A full charge provides 5-6 minutes of flight time.
  5. Important: Do not leave the drone unattended while charging. Disconnect once fully charged.

2. Installing Controller Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the 2.4GHz radio frequency controller.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Pairing the Drone and Controller

  1. Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
  2. Turn on the drone by pressing its power button. The drone's lights will flash.
  3. Turn on the controller. The controller's indicator light will flash.
  4. Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down.
  5. Both the drone's and controller's lights should become solid, indicating successful pairing.
  6. If pairing fails, turn off both devices and repeat the process.

Operating Instructions

Basic Flight Controls

  • Left Joystick (Throttle):
    • Push up to ascend.
    • Pull down to descend.
    • Push left/right to rotate left/right (yaw).
  • Right Joystick (Direction):
    • Push up to fly forward.
    • Pull down to fly backward.
    • Push left to fly left (strafe).
    • Push right to fly right (strafe).
  • Hover: Gently release the joysticks to allow the drone to hover in place. Minor adjustments may be needed.

Advanced Flight Modes

The drone supports both 3-channel and 4-channel flight modes, allowing for progression as your piloting skills improve.

  • 3-Channel Mode: Typically offers basic controls (throttle, yaw, pitch). Ideal for beginners.
  • 4-Channel Mode: Adds roll control (side-to-side movement without yaw). Provides more precise control for advanced pilots.
  • Refer to your controller's specific buttons for switching between modes.

Performing 360° Flips

The Flight Force Micro Drone can perform impressive 360-degree flips with ease.

  1. Ensure the drone is flying at a sufficient height (at least 6-10 feet) to allow for the maneuver.
  2. Press the dedicated "Flip" button on the controller (consult your controller diagram for exact location).
  3. Immediately after pressing the flip button, push the right joystick in the desired flip direction (forward, backward, left, or right).
  4. The drone will execute a 360-degree flip in that direction.

Trimming the Drone

If the drone drifts in a particular direction when hovering, you can use the trim buttons to correct its flight path.

  • If the drone drifts forward, press the backward trim button repeatedly until it hovers steadily.
  • If the drone drifts backward, press the forward trim button.
  • If the drone drifts left, press the right trim button.
  • If the drone drifts right, press the left trim button.
  • Make small, incremental adjustments until stable flight is achieved.

Maintenance

Replacing Rotors

In case of damage, rotors can be replaced using the included spare parts.

  1. Gently pull the damaged rotor straight up from its motor shaft.
  2. Ensure you replace it with a rotor of the correct type (A or B, usually marked on the rotor and drone arm).
  3. Press the new rotor firmly onto the motor shaft until it is seated securely.
  4. Always replace all damaged rotors before flying.

Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, keep your drone clean.

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the drone's body.
  • Remove any dust or debris from the motors and rotors carefully.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or liquids, as they may damage electronic components.

Storage

Proper storage helps prolong the life of your drone.

  • Store the drone and controller in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Remove batteries from the controller if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
  • Ensure the drone's battery is partially charged (around 50%) before long-term storage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Flight Force Micro Drone, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Drone does not power on. Battery is depleted or not connected. Charge the drone battery fully. Ensure the power button is pressed.
Controller does not power on. Controller batteries are depleted or incorrectly installed. Replace AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
Drone and controller do not pair. Incorrect pairing procedure or interference. Ensure drone and controller are close. Repeat pairing steps (power on drone, then controller, throttle up-down). Avoid other 2.4GHz devices.
Drone drifts during flight. Drone is not trimmed correctly or uneven surface at startup. Land the drone, place it on a level surface, and re-trim using the controller's trim buttons.
Short flight time. Battery not fully charged or aging battery. Ensure battery is fully charged. Flight time is typically 5-6 minutes. Battery performance may degrade over time.
Drone crashes easily or is unstable. Damaged rotors or motors. Inspect rotors for damage and replace if necessary. Ensure motors are free of debris.
