5. Usage Guidelines
These raised garden beds are designed for growing a variety of plants, including vegetables, flowers, herbs, and succulents. Their open-bottom design allows for excellent drainage and unrestricted root growth into the ground below.

- Location: Choose a location that receives adequate sunlight for your chosen plants.
- Filling: Fill the bed with a suitable soil mix. For deeper beds, you can layer organic materials (e.g., cardboard, grass clippings, old plant debris) at the bottom to reduce the amount of topsoil needed, promoting decomposition and enriching the soil over time.
- Planting: Plant your desired vegetables, flowers, or herbs according to their specific spacing and depth requirements.
- Watering: The open bottom design facilitates natural drainage. Monitor soil moisture and water as needed.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the exterior of the galvanized steel to remove dirt and debris. Use a mild soap and water solution if necessary.
- Inspection: Regularly check all bolts and nuts to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if any looseness is detected.
- Soil Management: Replenish soil nutrients as needed with compost or fertilizer, especially after each growing season.
- Winter Care: In colder climates, consider covering the beds or allowing them to rest during winter months. The galvanized steel is weatherized for durability.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bed feels unstable after assembly. | Bolts and nuts are not fully tightened. | Ensure all bolts and wing nuts are securely fastened. Place on a firm, level surface. |
| Water accumulation in the bed. | Soil compaction or poor drainage in the ground below. | Loosen compacted soil at the bottom of the bed or add a layer of gravel for improved drainage before adding topsoil. |
| Sharp edges on the top rim. | Rubber edge trim not properly installed or missing. | Install or re-secure the provided rubber edge trim along the entire top perimeter of the bed. |
