Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the scale.
2. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Placement

Place the scale on a firm, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in areas with excessive vibration.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

• To turn on the scale, press the ON/ZERO button. The display will show '0 g' when ready for measurement.
• To turn off the scale, press the OFF button. The scale will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

2. Measuring Ingredients

1. Ensure the scale is on a flat surface and displaying '0 g'.
2. Place the item or container directly onto the weighing platform. The weight will be displayed in grams.

3. Tare Function (Zero Reset)

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container or to measure multiple ingredients in the same bowl.

1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform. The display will show its weight.
2. Press the ON/ZERO button. The display will reset to '0 g'.
3. Add your ingredient to the container. The display will show only the weight of the added ingredient.
4. Repeat the tare process for additional ingredients if needed.

4. Measurement Units

The Tanita KF-200 WH scale measures exclusively in grams (g). There is no option to switch to other units like ounces or pounds, ensuring simplicity and consistency for metric measurements.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is completely dry before storage or next use.

2. Storage

The compact size of the Tanita KF-200 WH allows for easy storage. Store the scale in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. It can be stored flat in a drawer or cabinet.

3. Battery Replacement

When the display shows a low battery indicator (e.g., 'Lo'), replace both AAA batteries with new ones to ensure continued accuracy and functionality.
