- Ventilation: Ensure adequate airflow around the UPS. Do not block ventilation openings.
- Liquid Contact: Do not allow liquids to enter the UPS. Avoid placing beverages or liquid containers on top of the unit.
- Battery Handling: Batteries contain hazardous materials. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, as they may explode. Follow local regulations for battery disposal.
- Grounding: The UPS must be connected to a grounded AC power outlet.
3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully unpack the UPS and inspect it for any shipping damage. Retain the original packaging for future transport or storage.
3.2 Placement

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Care
The nJoy Horus Plus 2000 VA uses sealed lead-acid batteries. To maximize battery lifespan:
- Keep the UPS connected to AC power to maintain a full charge.
- Avoid frequent deep discharges.
- Operate the UPS within recommended temperature ranges.
- Batteries typically last 2-4 years depending on usage and environmental conditions. Battery replacement should be performed by qualified personnel.
5.2 Cleaning
Periodically clean the exterior of the UPS with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
5.3 Storage
If storing the UPS for an extended period, ensure the battery is fully charged. Recharge the battery every three months to prevent permanent damage.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your UPS.
6.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- UPS does not turn on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely connected to a grounded AC outlet.
- Check if the battery is charged. Allow the UPS to charge for several hours.
- UPS emits a humming or vibrating noise:
- A slight humming noise is normal during operation, especially when charging or in battery mode.
- If the noise is excessive, ensure the unit is placed on a stable surface. In some cases, internal components may require adjustment by a qualified technician.
- Connected devices lose power during an outage:
- Verify that devices are connected to the battery backup outlets, not just surge-protected outlets (if applicable).
- The total load may exceed the UPS capacity. Reduce the number of connected devices.
- Battery may be depleted or at the end of its service life.
- Software not detecting UPS via USB:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the UPS and the computer.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Reinstall the UPS management software.
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact nJoy customer support.
