Powering On/Off

  • Plug the 20-ft power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
  • Locate the power switch on the main canister unit.
  • Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to start the vacuum. Flip to 'OFF' to power down.

Using Attachments

Select the appropriate attachment for your cleaning task:

  • Floor Tool: For general cleaning of carpets, hard floors, and rugs.
  • Crevice Tool: Excellent for tight spaces, along baseboards, and between cushions.
  • Dusting Brush: Use for dusting furniture, blinds, lampshades, and other delicate surfaces.

Blower Function

Changing the HEPA Inner Bag

  2. Open Bag Compartment: Locate the bag compartment latch, usually on the side or top of the unit, and open it.
  3. Remove Old Bag: Carefully remove the full dust bag, ensuring the bag closure flap is sealed to prevent dust from escaping.
  4. Insert New Bag: Slide a new Oreck HEPA inner bag into the compartment, ensuring it is properly seated and sealed around the intake opening.
  5. Close Compartment: Close the bag compartment securely until it latches.

Cleaning the AirClean Filter

The AirClean filter should be checked periodically and cleaned or replaced as needed.

  • Access the filter compartment (refer to your unit's specific design for location).
  • Remove the filter and gently tap it over a trash can to dislodge loose dirt.
  • If heavily soiled, replace the filter with a new one. Do not wash the filter unless specified by the manufacturer.
