Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or coffee maker in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact customer service for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- To disconnect, turn any control to 'off,' then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

Familiarize yourself with the components of your FlexBrew Single Serve Coffee Maker:
- Lid: Covers the water reservoir and brew head.
- Water Reservoir: Holds water for brewing.
- Brew Head: Contains the needle that punctures K-Cup® packs or holds the ground coffee filter.
- K-Cup® Pack Holder: Removable holder for single-serve coffee pods.
- Ground Coffee Filter Basket: Reusable filter for ground coffee.
- Cup Rest: Adjustable platform for various mug sizes.
- Power Button/Brew Button: Initiates the brewing cycle.

Before First Use
Before using your coffee maker for the first time, it is recommended to clean all removable parts and run a plain water cycle.
- Wash the K-Cup® pack holder, ground coffee filter basket, and cup rest in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh water up to the MAX fill line.
- Place an empty mug on the cup rest.
- Close the lid and press the Power/Brew button to start a brew cycle with only water.
- Discard the hot water. Your coffee maker is now ready for use.
Setup
For K-Cup® Packs
- Lift the lid of the coffee maker.
- Insert a K-Cup® pack into the K-Cup® pack holder. Ensure it is seated firmly.
- Close the lid. The top needle will puncture the K-Cup® pack.
For Ground Coffee
- Lift the lid of the coffee maker.
- Place the ground coffee filter basket into the brew head.
- Add your desired amount of ground coffee (up to 3 tablespoons) into the filter basket. Do not overfill.
- Close the lid.

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to brew your coffee:
- Ensure the coffee maker is plugged into a standard electrical outlet.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line. The amount of water added will determine the brew size.
- Place your mug or travel cup on the cup rest. Adjust the cup rest if necessary to accommodate taller mugs.
- Prepare your coffee using either a K-Cup® pack or ground coffee as described in the 'Setup' section.
- Press the Power/Brew button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
- Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically shut off, and the indicator light will turn off.
- Carefully remove your mug. The brew head and coffee may still be hot.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and taste.
Daily Cleaning
- Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning.
- Remove and rinse the K-Cup® pack holder or ground coffee filter basket after each use.
- Wash the cup rest and drip tray in warm, soapy water.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the coffee maker in water.
Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal)
Mineral deposits can build up over time and affect performance. Descale every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness.
- Pour 1 cup of plain white vinegar into the water reservoir.
- Place an empty mug on the cup rest.
- Press the Power/Brew button to run a brew cycle with the vinegar solution.
- After the cycle, turn off the coffee maker and let it stand for 30 minutes.
- Repeat the vinegar brew cycle.
- Run 2-3 cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.
Troubleshooting
