3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the hot plate from its packaging. Retain the packaging for storage or disposal.
  2. Inspection: Check the appliance for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
  3. Placement: Place the hot plate on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10-15 cm of clear space around all sides for proper ventilation. Do not place it near water sources or heat-sensitive materials.
  4. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the glass ceramic surface with a damp cloth to remove any dust from manufacturing. Dry thoroughly.
  5. First Use (Burn-off): During the first use, a slight odor or smoke may occur. This is normal and due to the burning off of protective coatings. Operate the hot plate at its maximum setting for approximately 10-15 minutes in a well-ventilated area without any cookware.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet (230V).
  2. Place Cookware: Place appropriate cookware (e.g., pots, pans with flat bottoms) centrally on the glass ceramic heating surface. Ensure the cookware diameter is suitable for the heating zone (up to 280x280 mm).
  3. Adjust Temperature: Turn the temperature control knob clockwise to the desired heat setting. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the heating element is active.
  4. Heating Process: The hot plate will begin to heat up. The indicator light will cycle on and off as the hot plate maintains the set temperature.
  5. Cooking: Monitor your food as it cooks. Adjust the temperature knob as needed.
  6. Turning Off: Once cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob counter-clockwise to the 'MIN' or 'OFF' position. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
  7. Cool Down: Allow the hot plate to cool down completely before moving or cleaning. The surface will remain hot for some time after use.

Note: For optimal energy efficiency, use cookware with a flat bottom that matches the size of the heating element. This ensures even heat distribution and reduces energy waste.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and safe operation of your hot plate.

  1. Always Unplug: Before cleaning, always unplug the hot plate from the power outlet and allow it to cool down completely.
  2. Cleaning the Surface: Wipe the glass ceramic surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a specialized ceramic hob cleaner can be used. Rinse with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  3. Cleaning the Body: Wipe the exterior body (stainless steel/plastic parts) with a soft, damp cloth.
  4. Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal brushes, as these can scratch or damage the surface.
  5. Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the hot plate, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  6. Storage: Store the cooled and cleaned hot plate in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your hot plate, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Hot Plate Does Not Heat Up:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the temperature control knob is turned to an 'ON' position (not 'MIN' or 'OFF').
    • Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
  • Indicator Light Does Not Illuminate:
    • The indicator light only illuminates when the heating element is actively heating. It will cycle on and off to maintain the set temperature. If the hot plate is not heating at all, refer to the previous point.
  • Smoke or Odor During First Use:
    • This is normal for the first use as protective coatings burn off. Ensure adequate ventilation. If it persists after 15-20 minutes, discontinue use and contact support.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support or a qualified technician.
