3. Setup

3.1 Charging Batteries

Before first use, fully charge the Intelligent Flight Battery and the Remote Controller. Use the provided charger and AC power cable.

  1. Connect the charger to a power outlet.
  2. Connect the Intelligent Flight Battery to the charger. The battery level indicators will show charging status.
  3. Connect the remote controller to the charger using the Micro-USB cable.

3.2 Attaching Propellers

Ensure propellers are correctly attached to their corresponding motor bases. Match the colored marks on the propellers with the marks on the motors.

  1. Identify the two types of propellers: those with white rings and those without.
  2. Attach the propellers with white rings to the motors with white dots.
  3. Attach the propellers without white rings to the motors without white dots.
  4. Press down on the propeller and rotate it in the lock direction until it is secure.

3.3 Installing the Intelligent Flight Battery

Insert the fully charged Intelligent Flight Battery into the battery compartment on the rear of the drone until it clicks securely into place.

3.4 Preparing the Remote Controller

  1. Unfold the mobile device clamps on the remote controller.
  2. Place your mobile device (smartphone or tablet) into the clamps.
  3. Connect your mobile device to the remote controller using the appropriate RC cable (Lightning or Micro-USB).
  4. Ensure the DJI GO 4 app is installed on your mobile device.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Pre-Flight Checklist

Before each flight, perform the following checks:

  • Ensure all batteries (drone and remote controller) are fully charged.
  • Propellers are correctly and securely attached.
  • Gimbal clamp and lens cover are removed.
  • MicroSD card is inserted if recording is desired.
  • Check for clear GPS signal and sufficient satellite count in the DJI GO 4 app.
  • Verify no obstacles or hazards in the flight path.

4.2 Takeoff and Landing

The Mavic 2 Pro offers automated takeoff and landing features.

  1. Place the drone on a flat, open surface.
  2. Power on the remote controller, then the drone.
  3. Open the DJI GO 4 app and wait for connection.
  4. In the app, tap the auto-takeoff icon and confirm. The drone will ascend to a preset height.
  5. To land, tap the auto-landing icon in the app and confirm. The drone will descend and land automatically. Alternatively, use the left stick to slowly lower the drone.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Drone Not Powering On

  • Issue: Drone does not respond to power button.
  • Solution: Ensure the Intelligent Flight Battery is fully charged and correctly installed. Press the power button once, then press again and hold for two seconds to power on.

6.2 No GPS Signal

  • Issue: Drone cannot acquire GPS signal.
  • Solution: Fly in an open outdoor area away from tall buildings or strong electromagnetic interference. Wait for the DJI GO 4 app to indicate a strong GPS signal before takeoff.

6.3 Image Transmission Issues

  • Issue: Poor quality or no live video feed.
  • Solution: Ensure the mobile device is securely connected to the remote controller. Check for interference in the area. Adjust antenna orientation on the remote controller. Update firmware for both drone and remote controller.
