5. Setup

5.1 Rack Mounting

5.2 Power Connection

Connect the supplied power cable to the AC Power Input on the rear panel and then to a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch on the front panel is in the OFF position before connecting to power.

5.3 Audio Input Connections

  • Microphones: Connect microphones to the XLR or 1/4" TRS inputs on the rear panel. If using condenser microphones, activate phantom power using the corresponding switches.
  • Line-Level Devices: Connect CD players, media players, or other line-level audio sources to the RCA or 1/4" TRS line inputs.
  • MP3 Player: Insert an SD card into the dedicated slot or a USB drive into the USB port for direct audio playback.
  • Tel Paging: Connect a telephone or paging system to the dedicated priority input for emergency announcements or general paging.

5.4 Audio Output Connections

  • Speakers: Connect your speakers to the screw terminals for each of the four zones (ZONE 1-4) on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) and impedance matching.
  • Line Out: Use the Line Out connections for each zone to send an unamplified signal to external amplifiers or recording devices.
  • Monitor: Connect a monitor speaker or headphones to the Monitor output for local audio monitoring.

6. Operation

6.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the unit, ensure all connections are secure, then flip the Power Switch on the front panel to the 'ON' position. The Power LED will illuminate. To power off, flip the switch to 'OFF'.

6.2 Basic Mixing

Adjust the individual Input Volume Controls (1-5) for each connected audio source. Use the Bass and Treble controls to fine-tune the overall tone. The Master Volume control adjusts the final output level for all zones simultaneously.

6.3 Zone Selection and Output

The unit features a 4-zone matrix. On the front panel, use the selectors to route any input to any of the four output zones. Each zone has independent output level control and can receive a different mix of inputs.

6.4 MP3 Player Operation

Insert an SD card or USB drive containing MP3 audio files into the respective slot/port. The integrated MP3 player will automatically detect the media. Use the dedicated controls (Play/Pause, Next/Previous, Mode) to navigate and play audio files. Refer to the MP3 player section of the full manual for detailed instructions.

6.5 Priority Function

The Tel Paging input on the rear panel has a priority function. When an audio signal is detected on this input, it will automatically override other active audio sources, allowing for clear announcements or emergency messages across all selected zones.
