Setup

Unpacking: Carefully remove the radio and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure the owner's manual is present.
Power Connection: Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC input port on the rear of the radio. Plug the adapter into a mains power outlet.
Antenna: Fully extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception of DAB/DAB+ and FM radio signals.
Initial Scan: Upon first power-on, the radio will automatically scan for available DAB/DAB+ stations. This process may take a few minutes.
Optional Battery: For portable use, insert the optional ChargePAK F1 rechargeable battery (sold separately) into the battery compartment on the rear.

Operating Instructions

Basic Controls

Power Button: Press to turn the radio on or off.
Volume Knob: Rotate to adjust the audio volume.
Select Knob: Rotate to navigate menus and lists, press to confirm selections.
Source Button: Press to cycle through available audio sources: DAB, FM, Bluetooth, Aux In.
Menu Button: Press to access the main menu for settings and options.
Preset Buttons (1-6+): Press and hold to save a station to a preset. Briefly press to recall a saved station.
Snooze Handle: Touch the metal handle to activate the snooze function when an alarm sounds.

DAB/DAB+ Radio

Selecting DAB Mode: Press the Source button until "DAB Digital Radio" appears on the display.
Station Selection: Rotate the Select knob to browse available stations. Press the Select knob to tune into a station.
Information Display: The full-colour display shows station name, program information, and slideshow artwork (if available).

FM Radio

Selecting FM Mode: Press the Source button until "FM Radio" appears on the display.
Tuning: Rotate the Select knob to manually tune to a frequency. Press and hold the Select knob to auto-scan for the next available station.

Bluetooth Streaming

Entering Bluetooth Mode: Press the Source button until "Bluetooth" appears on the display. The radio will enter pairing mode.
Pairing: On your smartphone or tablet, enable Bluetooth and search for "Pure Evoke H4". Select it to pair.
Playback: Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the Evoke H4. Control playback from your device.

Alarms and Timers

Setting Alarms: Access the Alarm settings via the Menu button. You can set two independent alarms with options for radio or tone sound.
Sleep Timer: Set a sleep timer to automatically turn off the radio after a specified duration.
Kitchen Timer: Use the built-in kitchen timer for countdown purposes.

Maintenance

Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the radio's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Antenna Care: Handle the telescopic antenna carefully to avoid bending or breaking.
Battery Care (if applicable): If using the optional ChargePAK F1, follow its specific charging and storage instructions to prolong battery life.
Storage: When not in use for extended periods, disconnect from power and store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause / Solution
No power / Radio does not turn on.	Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the radio and the mains outlet. Check if the mains outlet is working. If using battery, ensure it is charged and correctly inserted.
Poor radio reception (DAB/FM).	Fully extend and adjust the telescopic antenna. Relocate the radio to an area with better signal strength, away from other electronic devices that may cause interference. Perform a full scan for DAB stations via the menu.
Bluetooth pairing issues.	Ensure the radio is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it is within range (typically 10 meters). Forget "Pure Evoke H4" from your device's Bluetooth settings and try pairing again. Restart both the radio and your Bluetooth device.
No sound.	Check the volume level on the radio and your connected device (if using Bluetooth/Aux In). Ensure the correct source is selected. If using headphones, ensure they are fully plugged in and not faulty.
