5. Operation
The Hurom H-AA is designed for simple and effective juicing. Follow these steps for optimal results:
- Prepare Ingredients: Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly. For harder items like carrots or beets, cut them into smaller pieces (approximately 1-2 inches) to prevent strain on the motor. Remove large seeds or pits from fruits.
- Power On: Plug the juicer into a grounded electrical outlet. Flip the 'ON' switch to start the motor.
- Feed Ingredients: Slowly feed ingredients into the hopper. Do not force large quantities at once. Allow the auger to process the ingredients at its own pace. Use the pusher only if necessary to guide ingredients down.
- Pulp Control: Use the pulp control lever on the juicing bowl to adjust the amount of pulp in your juice. Close it for less pulp, open it for more.
- Juice Collection: Fresh juice will flow into the juice container, and pulp will be expelled into the pulp container.
- Reverse Function: If ingredients become jammed, switch the power to 'REV' (Reverse) for a few seconds to clear the blockage, then switch back to 'ON'.
- Finish Juicing: Once all ingredients are processed, allow the juicer to run for a few more seconds to extract any remaining juice. Turn off the juicer and unplug it.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Hurom H-AA juicer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Juicer does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and all components are correctly assembled and locked into place. The juicer has safety features that prevent operation if parts are not aligned.
- Motor stops during operation or jams: This usually indicates an overload. Switch the juicer to 'REV' (Reverse) for a few seconds to clear the blockage, then switch back to 'ON'. If the issue persists, disassemble and clean the parts, then reassemble. Cut ingredients into smaller pieces.
- Excessive pulp in juice: Ensure you are using the fine strainer for less pulp. Adjust the pulp control lever to the desired setting.
- Low juice yield: Ensure ingredients are fresh. For fibrous vegetables, cut them into smaller pieces. The slow squeeze technology is designed for high yield, but very dry or old produce may yield less juice.
- Loud noise or vibration: Check that all parts are correctly assembled and securely locked. Ensure the juicer is on a stable, flat surface.
If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact Hurom customer support.
