3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape.
- Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.
- Remove any internal packing materials and accessories.
3.2 Placement
- Place the freezer on a firm, level surface strong enough to support the unit when fully loaded.
- Ensure adequate ventilation. Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space on the back and sides, and 8 inches (20 cm) on top for proper air circulation.
- Avoid placing the freezer in direct sunlight or near heat sources such as stoves, heaters, or radiators. Extreme ambient temperatures can affect performance.
- The freezer is designed for indoor use only.

3.3 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, clean the interior and exterior of the freezer with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
3.4 Power Connection and Initial Cool-Down
- Plug the freezer into a dedicated, grounded 115V, 60Hz electrical outlet.
- Allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
- After plugging in, allow the freezer to operate empty for 24-48 hours to reach its optimal operating temperature before loading food.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Temperature Control
The temperature of the freezer is controlled by a thermostat dial located on the front of the unit. Rotate the dial to adjust the temperature setting:
- MIN: Less cold setting.
- MAX: Coldest setting.
- OFF: Turns the cooling system off.
For general use, a setting between MIN and MAX is recommended. Adjust the setting based on ambient temperature and the amount of food stored.
4.2 Loading the Freezer
- Do not overload the freezer. Leave some space between items for proper air circulation.
- Avoid placing hot food directly into the freezer, as this can raise the internal temperature and affect other frozen items. Allow food to cool to room temperature first.
- Use appropriate freezer-safe containers or wrapping to prevent freezer burn and maintain food quality.
4.3 Defrosting
Over time, frost will accumulate on the interior walls of the freezer. Defrost the freezer when the frost layer is approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
- Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler to keep them frozen.
- Open the freezer lid and allow the frost to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water.
- To speed up defrosting, place bowls of hot water inside the freezer (do not use sharp objects to remove ice).
- Once all frost has melted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
- Plug the freezer back in and allow it to cool down for a few hours before returning food items.
4.4 Power Outage
In case of a power outage, keep the freezer lid closed as much as possible to maintain the internal temperature. Food can remain frozen for several hours if the lid is not opened frequently.
