5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Setting the Current Time and Day

The large dial on the front of the timer is marked with days of the week (MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN) and 24-hour time markings (0-24). There is an arrow indicator on the stationary part of the timer.

  1. Rotate the entire dial clockwise until the current day and time align with the arrow indicator. For example, if it's Tuesday at 3 PM, rotate the dial until "TUE" and "15" (for 3 PM) are opposite the arrow.

5.2 Setting ON/OFF Periods

The outer ring of the dial consists of small, push-down segments. Each segment represents a specific time interval (approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, as noted in user feedback). There are 14 segments per day, totaling 14 x 7 = 98 segments for the entire week.

  • To set a period when the appliance should be ON, push the corresponding segments on the dial downwards.
  • To set a period when the appliance should be OFF, leave the corresponding segments in the upwards position.
  • The timer will cycle through the days and times, activating the connected appliance when segments are pushed down and deactivating it when segments are up.

5.3 Manual Override Switch

On the right side of the timer, there is a red switch. This switch allows you to manually override the programmed settings.

  • When the switch is in the "I" (ON) position, the connected appliance will remain continuously on, regardless of the dial's programming.
  • When the switch is in the "O" (OFF) position, the connected appliance will remain continuously off, regardless of the dial's programming.
  • For automatic operation based on your set program, ensure the switch is in the middle (timer) position.

6. Maintenance

  • To clean the timer, unplug it from the wall outlet.
  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure no liquids enter the timer's casing or the electrical outlet.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Appliance does not turn ON/OFF as programmed:
    • Check if the manual override switch is in the correct (middle) position for automatic operation.
    • Ensure the segments for the desired ON/OFF times are correctly pushed down or left up.
    • Verify that the current time and day on the dial are correctly aligned with the arrow indicator.
    • Check if the connected appliance is properly plugged into the timer and its own power switch is ON.
    • Ensure the wall outlet is supplying power.
  • Timer is running slow/fast:
    • Mechanical timers may experience slight time drift over long periods. Periodically check and adjust the current time on the dial to maintain accuracy.
  • Timer makes unusual noises:
    • If you hear grinding or loud clicking noises, discontinue use and contact customer support.
