3.1 Transmitter (Push Button) Installation

Before installation, ensure the insulating film is removed from the transmitter battery compartment. The transmitter can be installed using either double-sided adhesive tape or screws.

  1. Remove Insulating Film: Gently pull out the insulating film located behind the battery in each transmitter. This activates the battery.
  2. Choose Mounting Method:
    • Adhesive Tape: Clean the desired mounting surface. Peel off one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it to the back of the transmitter. Peel off the other side and firmly press the transmitter onto the wall for 30 seconds.
    • Screws: Separate the back bracket from the transmitter. Mark the desired screw positions on the wall. Drill pilot holes if necessary and insert the anchors. Secure the bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Attach the transmitter to the mounted bracket.
  3. Placement: Install the transmitter in a location that is easily accessible to visitors and within the operating range of your receivers. Avoid mounting on metal surfaces, which can interfere with the signal.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Transmitter Battery Replacement

The transmitters use 23A 12V Alkaline batteries. When the transmitter's LED light does not illuminate or the signal becomes weak, it's time to replace the battery.

  1. Using the provided screwdriver, gently pry open the back cover of the transmitter.
  2. Remove the old 23A 12V battery.
  3. Insert a new 23A 12V Alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Snap the back cover firmly into place.

5.2 Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or internal components.

5.3 Waterproof Rating

The transmitter has an IP55 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. While it is designed for outdoor use, avoid submerging it in water or exposing it to heavy, direct water streams for extended periods.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Doorbell not ringing:
    • Ensure the receiver is plugged into a live power outlet.
    • Check if the transmitter battery needs replacement (refer to Section 5.1).
    • Verify the receiver's volume is not set to mute (0dB).
    • Ensure the transmitter and receiver are within operating range and not blocked by significant metal objects.
  • Reduced operating range:
    • Replace the transmitter battery.
    • Relocate the receiver or transmitter to minimize interference from large metal objects, thick walls, or other electronic devices.
  • Accidental ringing:
    • This is rare. If it occurs frequently, try re-pairing the units. To re-pair, press and hold the volume button on the receiver for 5 seconds until it beeps. Then, press the transmitter button within 5 seconds. The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.
