Mounting Instructions

  1. Select Location: Choose a suitable wall location, ensuring adequate space around the unit for proper operation and maintenance. Consider ADA compliance guidelines for height and clearance.
  2. Mark Drilling Points: Use the mounting template (if provided, or measure according to the unit's backplate) to mark the drilling points on the wall.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. Insert wall anchors if mounting into drywall or hollow surfaces.
  4. Secure Mounting Plate: Attach the hand dryer's mounting plate (if separate) to the wall using the provided screws and washers.
  5. Electrical Connection:
    • Plug-In Option: If using the plug-in option, ensure a compatible 110-120V outlet is available near the installation site.
    • Hard-Wired Option: For hard-wired installations, it is recommended to consult a qualified electrician. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before making any electrical connections. Connect the hand dryer's wiring to the building's electrical supply according to local electrical codes.
  6. Attach Hand Dryer: Carefully align the hand dryer unit with the mounting plate and secure it using the remaining screws or locking mechanism.
  7. Test Operation: Restore power and test the hand dryer to ensure it functions correctly.

Operation

The Alpine Hemlock Hand Dryer operates automatically using an infrared motion sensor.

  1. Activate: Place your hands directly under the air outlet. The sensor will detect your hands and activate the air blower. A blue light will illuminate to indicate operation.
  2. Dry Hands: Move your hands slowly back and forth under the airflow to ensure even drying. The powerful air stream and heated air will dry your hands quickly.
  3. Deactivate: Remove your hands from the sensor's range. The hand dryer will automatically shut off after a few seconds.
