5. Expandable Storage

Setup: Setting the Combination Lock
Your Samsonite Freeform luggage comes with a built-in TSA-approved combination lock. The factory default code is 0-0-0. To set your personal combination, follow these steps:
- Ensure the lock is set to the default code (0-0-0) or your current known code.
- Locate the small reset button (often recessed) next to the dials. Use a pen or a pointed object to press and hold this button.
- While holding the reset button, rotate the dials to your desired three-digit combination.
- Release the reset button. Your new combination is now set.
- Test your new combination by scrambling the dials and then entering your new code to open the lock.
Important: Do not change the combination if you don't know the current code, as you risk not being able to open the luggage again.

Operating Instructions
Using the Retractable Handle
The luggage features an adjustable ergonomic handle for comfortable maneuvering. To extend or retract the handle, press the button located on the top of the handle and pull up or push down to your desired height. Release the button to lock it in place.

Utilizing Spinner Wheels
The four oversized dual-spinner wheels allow for 360-degree rotation, enabling the luggage to be pushed or pulled in any direction with minimal effort. This design reduces strain on your arm and shoulder.
Expanding Luggage Capacity
To expand the luggage, locate the secondary zipper running along the perimeter of the suitcase. Unzip this zipper to release the expandable section, providing additional packing space. Zip it back up to return to the original size.

Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning the Exterior: For general cleaning, wipe the hardshell exterior with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Cleaning the Interior: The interior lining can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Allow to air dry completely before closing the luggage.
- Wheel Maintenance: Periodically check the spinner wheels for any debris (hair, lint, etc.) that might hinder smooth operation. Clean as necessary.
- Zipper Care: Keep zippers free from dirt and debris. If zippers become stiff, a small amount of silicone spray or wax can help them glide smoothly.
- Storage: Store your luggage in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
Troubleshooting
- Lock Not Opening: Ensure you are entering the correct 3-digit combination. If you have forgotten your combination, refer to the "Setting the Combination Lock" section for reset instructions.
- Stuck Retractable Handle: If the handle is difficult to extend or retract, check for any obstructions in the handle mechanism. Ensure the release button is fully depressed when operating.
- Wheels Not Rolling Smoothly: Inspect the wheels for trapped debris (hair, lint) and remove it. If the issue persists, the wheel mechanism might require professional inspection.
- Zipper Malfunction: If a zipper is stuck, try gently moving the slider back and forth. Ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper teeth. Avoid forcing the zipper, as this can cause damage.
