Follow these steps to set up your VTech CS6919-2 phone system.

3.1 Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Install the Battery: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of each handset. Connect the battery pack connector securely into the jack inside the compartment. Place the battery pack with the label "THIS SIDE UP" facing up. Close the battery compartment cover.
  2. Charge the Handset: Place each handset face forward in its respective telephone base or charger. The CHARGE light on the handset will illuminate, indicating proper charging. Allow the handsets to charge for at least 16 hours before initial use. For optimal battery performance, keep the handsets in the charger when not in use.

3.2 Base Unit and Charger Connection

  1. Connect the Telephone Base: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the telephone base. Plug the other end into a telephone wall jack.
  2. Connect the Power Adapter: Plug the small end of the power adapter into the POWER jack on the back of the telephone base. Plug the large end into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Connect the Charger: For the auxiliary handset, plug the small end of its power adapter into the POWER jack on the back of the charger. Plug the large end into a standard electrical outlet.
