5. Setup

5.1 Connecting the Receiver

  1. Satellite Dish Connection: Connect the cable from your satellite dish LNB to the ANT IN port on the rear panel of the receiver (refer to Image 2).
  2. TV Connection (HDMI): For optimal picture quality, connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI port on the receiver to an available HDMI input on your television.
  3. TV Connection (SCART): If your TV does not have an HDMI input, connect a SCART cable from the SCART port on the receiver to the SCART input on your television.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the receiver's power input and then plug it into a wall outlet.
  5. External Storage (Optional): If you plan to record programs or play multimedia files, connect a USB flash drive or an external hard drive to the USB 2.0 port on the front panel (refer to Image 1). The USB port provides sufficient power for most external hard drives without additional power supply (USB Double Power).

  1. Turn on your television and select the correct HDMI or SCART input source.
  2. Power on the Metronic Touchbox HD 3 receiver.
  3. The first-time installation wizard should appear on your TV screen. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, country, and perform a channel scan.
  4. Ensure your satellite dish is correctly aligned to receive signals. The receiver supports Tone Burst and DiSEqC 1.0 protocols.
