1. Introduction

4. Setup

The Pro-Ject VT-E BT R turntable is largely factory-adjusted for immediate playback. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Placement: Choose a stable location for your turntable. It can be placed on a flat surface or mounted vertically using the included wall-mounting bracket.
  2. Install Drive Belt: Carefully sling the silicone drive belt over the motor pulley and around the platter's sub-platter. Ensure it is seated correctly without twists.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the power supply into the turntable's power input and then into a wall outlet.
  4. Audio Connection (Optional):
    • Wired: The turntable features an onboard phono stage. You can connect the turntable's line output to an auxiliary input on your amplifier or powered speakers. Alternatively, a passive output is available for connection to an external phono stage.
    • Wireless (Bluetooth): The integrated Bluetooth audio transmitter allows for wireless connection to compatible Bluetooth speakers or headphones.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Playing a Record

  1. Power On: Flip the power switch to turn on the turntable.
  2. Select Speed: Choose the appropriate playback speed (33 or 45 RPM) using the speed selector switch.
  3. Place Record: Carefully place your vinyl record onto the platter.
  4. Secure Record: Use the threaded record clamp to firmly secure the record to the platter. This is crucial for stable playback in the vertical orientation.
  5. Lower Tonearm: Gently lift the tonearm using the cueing lever and position it over the desired track on the record. Slowly lower the tonearm using the cueing lever to begin playback.
  6. End of Playback: At the end of the record, manually lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. The turntable does not feature an automatic shut-off.

5.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

The VT-E BT R includes a Bluetooth audio transmitter for wireless streaming to compatible devices.

  1. Activate Bluetooth: Ensure your Bluetooth receiving device (e.g., speaker, headphones) is in pairing mode.
  2. Pairing: The turntable's Bluetooth transmitter will automatically attempt to pair with nearby devices in pairing mode. Consult your receiving device's manual for specific pairing instructions.
  3. Confirmation: Once paired, audio from the turntable will be transmitted wirelessly to your Bluetooth device.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Turntable
