5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean your Roku Streaming Stick and remote, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols directly on the device.
5.2 Remote Battery Replacement
If the remote control becomes unresponsive, the batteries may need replacement. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and replace the old batteries with new ones of the same type (typically AA or AAA, refer to the remote for specific type). Ensure correct polarity.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power/Device Not Turning On: Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected to both the Roku Streaming Stick and the power source (either wall adapter or TV's powered USB port). Try a different power outlet or USB port.
- No Signal on TV: Verify that your TV is set to the correct HDMI input channel. Ensure the Roku Streaming Stick is fully inserted into the HDMI port. Try a different HDMI port if available.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues: Check your router and modem to ensure they are working correctly. Restart your Roku device by unplugging it from power for a few seconds and plugging it back in. Re-enter your Wi-Fi password if necessary through the Roku settings menu.
- Remote Not Responding: Replace the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the Roku device.
- Remote Battery Drain: If using the TV's USB port for power, some TVs may not fully power down the USB port when the TV is off, causing the remote to remain active and drain batteries faster. Consider using the provided wall adapter for power if this issue occurs.
