3. Setup
3.1 Powering On/Off
To power on your Beats Solo3 headphones, press and hold the power button located on the right ear cup for 1 second. The LED fuel gauge lights will illuminate. To power off, press and hold the power button for 1 second. The LED lights will turn off.
3.2 Bluetooth Pairing
Your Beats Solo3 headphones are ready to pair right out of the box. They feature Class 1 Bluetooth technology for extended range and strong connectivity.
For Apple Devices (iOS 10 or later):
- Ensure your iPhone, iPad, or Mac is unlocked and Bluetooth is enabled.
- Hold your Beats Solo3 headphones near your Apple device.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to connect. Once connected, they will simultaneously connect to your Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac via iCloud.
For Android and Other Bluetooth Devices:
- Press and hold the power button on the right ear cup for 5 seconds until the LED fuel gauge flashes.
- Go to the Bluetooth settings on your device and select "Beats Solo3" from the list of available devices.
- Once paired, the LED lights will stop flashing and remain solid.
4. Operating Your Headphones
4.1 On-Ear Controls
The multifunction 'b' button on the left ear cup allows for easy control of your audio and calls:
- Play/Pause: Press the 'b' button once.
- Skip Forward: Press the 'b' button twice.
- Skip Backward: Press the 'b' button three times.
- Answer/End Call: Press the 'b' button once.
- Activate Siri/Voice Assistant: Press and hold the 'b' button.
Volume controls are integrated into the outer ring of the left ear cup:
- Volume Up: Press the top part of the outer ring.
- Volume Down: Press the bottom part of the outer ring.

4.2 Wired Listening
For wired listening, connect the included 3.5mm RemoteTalk cable to the audio jack on the right ear cup and to your audio device. This allows you to continue listening even if the battery is depleted.
5. Battery Life & Charging
The Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones boast an impressive battery life of up to 40 hours on a full charge. They also feature Fast Fuel technology for quick power-ups:
- Fast Fuel: A 5-minute charge provides 3 hours of playback when the battery is low.
To charge your headphones, connect the Universal USB Charging Cable (USB-A to USB Micro-B) to the Micro USB port on the right ear cup and to a power source. The LED fuel gauge lights will indicate charging status.
