1. Product Overview

The Huawei B593s-22 is a high-performance LTE CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) designed to provide high-speed internet access via 4G LTE networks. It functions as a mobile Wi-Fi router, allowing up to 32 devices to connect simultaneously. This router supports various LTE FDD and TDD bands, making it suitable for use in multiple regions including Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Its robust design and versatile connectivity options make it ideal for home, SOHO (Small Office/Home Office), and small business environments.

3. Safety Information

  1. SIM card slot: For inserting your data SIM card.
  2. USB Port: For connecting USB devices (e.g., external storage, printer).

5. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Huawei B593s-22 router for the first time.

5.1. Inserting the SIM Card

  1. Ensure the router is powered off.
  2. Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the router (refer to Figure 3).
  3. Insert your standard-sized data SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner oriented correctly. Push until it clicks into place.

5.2. Connecting the Power Adapter

  1. Connect one end of the power adapter to the Power supply position on the back of the router (refer to Figure 4).
  2. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall power outlet.

5.3. Powering On the Router

  1. Press the POWER button on the side of the router.
  2. The POWER indicator on the front panel will light up. Wait for the MODE and SIGNAL indicators to stabilize, indicating a successful network connection. This may take a few minutes.

5.4. Initial Configuration (Web Interface)

  1. Connect your computer to the router via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable. The default Wi-Fi SSID (network name) and password are usually printed on a label on the bottom or back of the router.
  2. Open a web browser on your connected computer.
  3. Enter the default IP address of the router (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.8.1) into the address bar and press Enter.
  4. Enter the default username and password (usually 'admin' for both, or as specified on the router label) to log in to the web management interface.
  5. Follow the on-screen wizard to configure your network settings, including APN settings for your mobile carrier, Wi-Fi SSID, and password. It is highly recommended to change the default login password for security.

6. Operation

Once set up, your Huawei B593s-22 router provides internet access to your devices.

6.1. Connecting Devices via Wi-Fi

  1. On your Wi-Fi enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for available Wi-Fi networks.
  2. Select the SSID (network name) of your Huawei B593s-22 router.
  3. Enter the Wi-Fi password (network key) when prompted.
  4. Your device should now be connected to the internet.

6.2. Connecting Devices via Ethernet Cable

  1. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to a LAN port on the back of the router (LAN1-LAN4).
  2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your device (e.g., computer, gaming console).
  3. The device should automatically obtain an IP address and connect to the internet.

6.3. Using the USB Port

The USB port can be used for connecting external storage devices (e.g., USB flash drives, external hard drives) for network sharing, or for connecting a USB printer to be shared across the network. Refer to the router's web management interface for specific configuration options related to USB sharing.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your router.

7.1. Firmware Updates

Periodically check for firmware updates through the router's web management interface. Firmware updates can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security. Follow the instructions provided within the interface for updating the firmware.

7.2. Cleaning

Gently wipe the exterior of the router with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions.

7.3. Optimal Placement

Place the router in a central location within your home or office, away from large metal objects, thick walls, and other electronic devices that may cause interference. Elevating the router can also improve Wi-Fi signal distribution.

8. Troubleshooting
