  • Voice Control: The Botvac D5 is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Link your Neato account to these services to start and stop cleaning using voice commands.

Cleaning Modes

  • House Cleaning: The robot cleans your entire floor plan using LaserSmart navigation, moving in straight lines to ensure thorough coverage.
  • Spot Cleaning: Place the robot in a specific area and select spot clean from the app to clean a smaller, concentrated area.
  • Turbo Mode: For a deeper clean, activate Turbo Mode via the app. This increases brush speed and suction power, ideal for pet hair and heavily soiled areas.

No-Go Lines and Floor Plans

Utilize the Neato app to draw virtual No-Go Lines on your floor plan. These lines tell your robot where not to go, preventing it from entering specific areas like pet bowls or delicate zones. The Botvac D5 supports saving multiple floor plans, allowing for customized cleaning on different levels of your home.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance of your Botvac D5 Connected.

  • Empty the Dirt Bin: Empty the dirt bin after each cleaning cycle. Press the release button to remove the bin, open it, and discard debris.
  • Clean the Ultra Performance Filter: Tap the filter against a trash can to remove loose debris. For best results, replace the filter every 1-2 months, or more frequently with heavy use.
  • Clean the Combo Brush: Remove the brush from the robot and use the cleaning tool (if provided) or scissors to cut and remove any hair or debris wrapped around it.
  • Clean the Side Brush: Remove the side brush and clear any tangled hair or debris.
  • Clean Sensors: Use a dry cotton swab to gently wipe the cliff sensors (located on the underside of the robot) and the laser navigation turret window (on top).
