3.4 Mounting the Camera and Solar Panel
Choose a mounting location that provides a clear view of the area you wish to monitor and receives ample direct sunlight for the solar panel. Ensure the location is within your Wi-Fi signal range.

Figure 3.1: Free Split Installation with 10FT Extension Cord. The solar panel can be installed separately from the camera for optimal sunlight exposure.
- Camera Placement: Mount the camera at a height of 2-3 meters (7-10 feet) for optimal detection range and field of view.

4. Operation
4.1 Live View
Open the GENBOLT Cam app and select your camera from the device list to access the live video feed. You can view real-time footage from anywhere with an internet connection.
4.2 Pan and Tilt Control
The camera supports 355° horizontal pan and 90° vertical tilt. Use the directional controls within the app's live view interface to adjust the camera's viewing angle remotely. This allows you to cover a wider area without blind spots.

4.3 PIR Human Detection and Alerts
The camera features an advanced Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor that detects human body heat (37°C), minimizing false alarms caused by pets or environmental factors like sunlight. When motion is detected, the camera will:
- Send instant push notifications to your smartphone.
- Automatically record video footage of the event.
- Activate the built-in floodlights (if enabled for Active Lighting Defense).
Adjust PIR sensitivity settings in the app to optimize detection for your environment.

Figure 4.3: Active Lighting Defense. When an alarm is triggered at night, floodlights automatically turn on to deter intruders.
4.4 Color Night Vision
The camera provides clear, full-color video even in low-light conditions, thanks to its integrated white LEDs. This feature enhances visibility and detail compared to traditional black-and-white infrared night vision.

4.8 Power Modes (Sleep Mode / 24/7 Mode)
The camera offers different power modes to optimize battery life based on your surveillance needs.
- Sleep Mode: The camera remains in a low-power state and only activates upon motion detection or when accessed for live view. This mode conserves battery power.
- 24/7 Mode: The camera remains continuously active, providing constant monitoring. This mode consumes more power and is best suited for locations with consistent solar charging or where continuous recording is critical.
Select your preferred power mode in the camera settings within the app.
