Setup
1. Physical Installation
The JE2415 supports a VESA 100mm x 100mm mounting pattern for wall mounting. If using the table top stand, ensure it is securely attached according to the separate stand instructions.
2. Connecting Devices
Connect your external devices to the appropriate input ports:
- HDMI Input: For high-definition digital audio/video sources. The TV has one HDMI input. HDMI 1 supports ARC (Audio Return Channel).
- Component Video Input (Y, Pb, Pr): For high-quality analog video sources.
- Composite Video Input (L/R NTSC/PAL Compatible): For standard definition analog video sources.
- VGA Video Input: For connecting a computer.
- Power Connection: Connect the AC power cord to the TV and a standard AC outlet.
3. Initial Power On and Channel Scan
After connecting all cables, press the power button on the TV or remote control. Follow the on-screen prompts to perform an initial setup, including scanning for available channels using the integrated ATSC tuner.
Operating
1. Remote Control
The included remote control is dual-function, capable of controlling both the TV and a JENSEN DVD player. Refer to the remote control guide for specific button functions.
2. Input Selection
Use the 'Input' or 'Source' button on the remote control to cycle through available video inputs (HDMI, Component, Composite, VGA) and select the desired source.
3. JCOM Function
The JCOM function facilitates communication between the TV and a JCOM-equipped JENSEN HDMI DVD player, simplifying control and integration.
4. ARC (Audio Return Channel)
When connected to an ARC-compatible audio system via HDMI 1, the TV can send audio back to the audio system, reducing the need for a separate audio cable.
5. CEC Function
The CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) function allows for integrated control of CEC-compatible devices, such as the JENSEN AWM975 or other CEC-equipped HDMI DVD players, through a single remote.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Screen
Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen cleaner specifically designed for LED displays. Do not spray liquid directly onto the screen.
Cleaning the Cabinet
Wipe the TV cabinet with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the TV and the AC outlet. Check the power outlet with another device.
- No Picture/Sound: Verify the correct input source is selected. Check all cable connections to external devices.
- Remote Control Not Working: Check and replace the batteries. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV's IR sensor.
- Poor Picture Quality: Check antenna/cable connections. If using an external device, try a different cable or input port.
