The Dynasty Hardware Augusta Commercial Passage Lever is an ADA compliant, Grade 2 commercial duty door lever designed for areas requiring free passage without locking. This lever features a durable zinc alloy construction with a satin chrome finish, suitable for high-traffic environments.

  • Commercial Grade 2 Durability: ANSI Grade 2 certified for dependable performance in hallways, closets, and common areas where no locking is required. Heavy-duty internal springs and a reinforced zinc alloy lever body ensure smooth, consistent operation and long-lasting durability under frequent daily use.
  • Passage Function: Both exterior and interior levers remain unlocked at all times, allowing free passage without keys or locking. Ideal for hallways, closets, conference rooms, and other interior doors where secure locking is not needed.
  • ADA Compliant & Non-Handed Design: Fully ADA compliant for barrier-free accessibility. Non-handed lever fits both left- and right-swing doors, simplifying installation.
  • Standard Commercial Door Fit: Designed for standard 161 door prep with a 2-1/8″ bore. Fits doors 1-3/8″ to 1-3/4″ thick and includes a UL 3-hour fire-rated 2-3/4″ backset latch (optional 2-3/8″ backset sold separately).
  • Complete Installation Kit: Includes lever, thru bolts, strike plate, latch, dust box, screw packs, mounting template, and instructions. Optional through-bolt installation helps prevent lever sag.

Operating Instructions

The Dynasty Hardware Augusta Commercial Passage Lever is designed for simple, unrestricted access. It does not feature a locking mechanism.

  • To open the door, simply depress either the interior or exterior lever handle.
  • The latch bolt will retract, allowing the door to open.
  • Release the lever to allow the latch bolt to extend and secure the door in the closed position.

This passage function is ideal for doors that do not require security, such as hallway doors, closet doors, or connecting doors within an office suite.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity and appearance of your Dynasty Hardware Augusta Commercial Passage Lever.

  • Cleaning: Clean the satin chrome finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or polishing agents, as these can damage the finish.
  • Lubrication: Periodically, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the latch bolt mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Do not use oil-based lubricants, which can attract dust and debris.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all screws and fasteners for tightness. Re-tighten if necessary to prevent lever sag or loose operation.
  • Environmental Factors: While durable, extreme moisture or corrosive environments may affect the finish over time.
